He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Te...view moreNachman Kataczinsky was born in the U.S.S.R. to Holocaust survivors, and grew up in Israel. He earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He also served as an infantry officer with the Israel Defense Forces. In 1987 he moved to the U.S, obtaining citizenship through a program for internationally recognized unique expertise and set up his own consulting R&D company. At about the same time he earned a Ph.D. from California Coast University. He's fluent in five languages and enjoys reading history and science fiction in all of them, especially if the subject is mid-twentieth century Europe.
