These verses were never originally composed with a book in mind; instead, they accumulated over the years, quietly growing in size and gathering dust. I never could have fathomed that this would ever come to fruition.
After attempting to engage with a few greeting card companies without success, I unintentionally sent my work to a book publisher. Surprisingly, they promptly reached out to me, leading to the book deal I now have with Xlibris. Since then, I haven't looked back.
My ability to write was inherited from my paternal grandmother, who penned countless poems and compiled her own little books as a personal reference. I have inherited this talent, and it has also allowed me to develop skills in songwriting.
As a child growing up in my hometown of Saundersfoot in West Wales, I would sit on Scar Rock with my back against a tree, which is featured on the cover of the book. From there, I would gaze out at the sea and the breath-taking Pembrokeshire coastline, writing about what I observed and what inspired me, oblivious to what would unfold in the years to come.
At my core, I am a spiritualist, and I believe that the essence and nature of this poetry not only reflect my heart and personality but also my very soul. I firmly adhere to the notion that everything happens for a reason, and I feel that I needed this time to cultivate and amass a collection.
By publishing this book, my intention is to offer it as a guide for readers, providing inspiration for writing something heartfelt in a loved one's card or even allowing them to utilize the occasional line or complete poem to bring joy to someone's day.
So here I am, presenting my work to you. I sincerely hope that you derive as much pleasure from reading these verses as I did from writing them.
Enjoy Best wishes
