His varied career has included work as a professional chef, butler, and more recently estate management and home sitter.
Nichols has traveled widely and studied cultures, food and religions around the globe.
He is an award winning speaker with Toastmasters, and in 2006 he won a newspaper award for a column he wrote in the Andrews (NC) Journal about culture and foods of the Appalachias
Nichols wants to become “The Poster Boy for Walking” as he advocates for senior health and the healing power and joy of nature.
He lives in Flat Rock, North Carolina with his boss and companion, Max, a Manx cat. This is his first book.
