Poetry nourishes, shapes and molds her passion for intensity and self-expression. Ellia started writing poetry at the age of eight, the birth of her love affair with words, arts and poetic creativity. Poetry represents the depth and breadth of her emotions and experiences. It is the reflection, the celebration of all things beautiful and real in her past, present and perception of the future.
Ellia's poetic influence can be traced back from her childhood. She was nurtured by two parents whose love for their children and humanity surpass love itself. Ellia's childhood and years spent in the Philippines were embellished with love for all amid the backdrop of lush greenfields, blue skies and majestic mountains.
Ellia wants to fulfill a dream of reviving the renaissance era. Her passion for promoting appreciation and love for poetry has taken her to public libraries to help sponsor weekly poetry readings and writings directed at yound children. Ellia lectures at schools on creative writing and poetry appreciation....the beginning of an endless journey to the world of poetry.
