Gisela has performed her poems at academic and literary symposia including the Imagination, Inquiry and Innovation Institute in New York in 2014 and the American Educational Research Association Conference in Chicago in 2015.Her work explores personal and collective histories. She asks how these narratives shape our professional and more lyrical poetic voices. In October 2015, Gisela presented her poems at the 5th International Symposium on Poetic Inquiry at the University of British Columbia as part of a collaborative project on intergenerational narratives with Memorial University Assistant Professor Heather McLeod.Gisela lives and writes in Victoria BC.view less
