On his retirement in 2010, he turned to a long-standing enthusiasm – mediæval English history. He has written a book about the development of British surnames and now releases this companion volume on English place-names.
William Lewis now lives quietly beside the River Severn in the pleasant Worcestershire town of Bewdley.view less
