Five years after I left school, I was...view moreI struggled to understand the written word for many years. It seemed such a difficult way to absorb information when videos and narration did such a good job.
Five years after I left school, I was diagnosed with dyslexia and the problems I had with both reading and my early attempts to write Turf Wars had a cause with a strange name. You see, I twist numbers and letters both up and down from the page.
I have a personal motto "Dyslexia has held me back but it won't hold me down."
Most of my career has been spent in the photographic industry. From taking portraits, through printing and onward to owning my own camera shop in Letchworth in Hertfordshire (England). Visual art always held a special place in my heart but ever since secondary school, I wanted to write a story. A story that was to become Turf Wars. It took five attempts and almost forty years but I hope you enjoy and are inspired by my first novel Turf Wars - Ingleton Manor.
I'm a gardener now, I fancied a complete change, some fresh air and the chance to better research the subject matter for Turf Wars. I'm still writing - watch this space...view less
