The young Nee Durodola attended Ibadan City Academy, Ibadan from 1972 to 1977, before proceeding to Oyo State College of Education, 1980 to 1983. She pursued her double honor degree in Education and, Guidance & Counselling in former Ogun State University (OSU) now called Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) between 1986-1989. She later enrolled for MBA program in the same University between 1995- 1997. Mary started her career as a high school teacher in 1983 whilst other educational development programs, and her family commitment.
An entrepreneur of note, Mary Olagunju veered into the banking sector in 1989, having switched from teaching to become a renowned banker. She worked with Wema Bank Plc for 20 years and served meritoriously as the Regional Manager for several years with the responsibility of 14 branches.
She is a fellow of the Institute of Entrepreneurs (FIoE), and also serves as the Director, Membership and Marketing, of this Institute. She is a member, Chartered Institute of Bankers (MCIB), Nigeria and Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM).
A renowned strategist and a proven and tested professional, Mary Olagunju is great advocate for education in Nigeria and hold programs and congresses on entrepreneurship in the country and neighboring West African Countries.
She has recorded remarkable achievements in the field of banking. She also won laurels such as Bankers Productivity Award 1992…, Bankers Deposit Generation Award 1994… Bankers Long Service Award 1998…
After her banking career, Mary went to Babcock University in Nigeria to further pursue academic research excellence (Phd in “Effect of Training on Employee Performance in Banking Industry” between 2010-2013.
Mary Olagunju is an accomplished educationist, distinguished banker and entrepreneur who is committed to giving back to her society. She happily married to Kayode Olagunju, a renowned professor of Counselling and Applied Psychology in one of the leading Universities in Nigeria, and they are blessed with four guys and a grandson.view less
