College roommates and lifelong friends for over 40 years, Judy and Cindy have shared many adventures and fun times. Since retiring, they have joined forces to write and illustrate their first book. Drawing from their own experiences, the women bring the characters in their book to life and take the reader through a world of adventure, laughter, suspense, and friendship.
Cindy lives in Lubbock, Texas with her husband, Wes. There she enjoys adventures of her own with her two grandchildren, Molly and Matthew. Cindy also has two adult children - Becca and Tim. In addition to writing and spending time with her family, Cindy enjoys gardening, painting, quilting, and crafting. She is gifted with a natural artistic ability and enjoys using several mediums of art. She creatively combines her love of art and nature to express herself artistically. On any given day, Cindy can turn an odd-shaped piece of wood into a masterpiece. She can give life to a rock or transform a group of old tires into a lovely garden. Cindy prefers to paint for enjoyment rather than for profit, and many of her friends benefit from her generous nature, as she gifts her creations on a regular basis.
Judy and her husband, Joe, now reside in Fort Worth, Texas where she continues sharing her love of children’s literature and spending time with her grandchildren, Mathis, MacKenzie, and Ayden. She has two adult children - Leah and Richard, who also live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Judy’s favorite pastimes are spending time with her family, reading, journaling, crafting, baking, and photography. To assist in the creation of this book, Judy utilized her experience as a 4th grade writing teacher and former curriculum writer for the Fort Worth Independent School District. She has certainly put her mark on the world by sharing her writing skills as well as her genuine love of writing with hundreds of school children. Judy grew up in a small town with a large family. She credits her parents for their support and encouragement in furthering her education. Judy loves to laugh and enjoys every moment of the life God has given her. She does not consider herself as artistic as her friend, Cindy, but she will often be found engaged in DIY projects, up-cycling and photography.view less
