She worked at a top tier Manhattan law firm where she devoted many hours to pro bono work, including arguing for tenants' rights after the fall of the World Trade Towers.
As a pre-medical student in NYC in the early 90's, and deeply concerned about her close friends suffering from HIV/AIDS, she arranged for a case management HIV/AIDS research presentation at Hunter College to share insights and encourage further medical progress. Percy was also an intake assistant on the research floor of Cornell Hospital, Manhattan, during the initial onset of the AIDS crisis.
She cared for her mother with Alzheimer's Disease for 14 years, navigating all aspects of patient management and joining in efforts to promote government assistance for at-home care.
Her greatest accomplishment is being the mother of Jenny, whose story is the focus of Saving Jenny, and whose courage, honesty, and love inspires her mother every single day.
