In 2017, she was granted the University of Cape Town-Harvard Mandela Fellowship; in 2014 she won the Prix du Studio National des Arts Contemporain, Le Fresnoy and in 2006, she was awarded the coveted ABSA L’Atelier Gerard Sekoto Award.
