About this ebook

If we really believe that God is all knowing, then everything we do has already happened in God's mind. My book teaches the power of predestination. The QUE SERA philosophy delivers a fresh and revolutionary perspective to the whole human condition. The past, our day to day lives, and into the future.
After reading this book, you will think about it every day for the rest of your life. Not many books can make that claim. I touch on many areas of life which when seen through QUE SERA will provide comfort, calm, confidence and hope.

Que Sera - Rex D Edgel

    INTRODUCTION

Before you were born you met with God, your Father, and with God, your Mother. They revealed to you every second of the life you were about to live. And despite the hardships, you were happy to take the next step necessary in your Eternal Progression. They embraced you and kissed you and sent your spirit here on earth to be born, forgetting your Heavenly Home.

Writing is a lot like giving birth, without the blood and hemorrhoids. Books are our ideas which need to be born. This baby which I have named Que Sera is important because it provides you with the same perspective which God possesses; which is the key to happiness.

Throughout this book I use an element which I call Anticipators. With two exceptions, they are references to something found on the following page. I hope they will help you to move through the pages with anticipation.

My family and I were on a South West Airlines flight and the flight attendant said this: When you see the oxygen mask fall from the overhead compartment, stop screaming and let go of the person sitting next to you. Then put on your oxygen mask and take a deep breath. I hope Que Sera will help you to take deep breaths every day, be happier, and fulfill an honorable life.

    BUTTON UP,

    IT’S GOING

    TO BE A

    WILD

    RIDE.

It was another beautiful day on the Island of Oahu, December 26th 2008. I was driving our minivan along the East Coast Highway. My wife Carmen was riding shotgun. Our daughter Monica and our son in law Zach were in the bench seat behind us. Our sons, Rob and Willy were riding all the way in the back. We were discussing a movie we had watched on Christmas Day. The movie portrayed a series of events which led to a woman’s life changing injury. Willy said something that I have literally thought about every day since and which, when fully understood, will change your life for the better, as it has improved mine.

At first I shook my head in disbelief. Then as my mind began to absorb the words, it was as though I were standing in the middle of a large green meadow, looking up into the summer sky. I first felt the warm mist of rain on my face. The mist turned to small raindrops which gradually increased in size and frequency. I was soon standing in the center of a warm summer shower. I could hear the distant claps of thunder. It all felt very clean and serene and true.

    Or

It was as if a huge bronze gong was suspended in my head (not to worry, there is plenty of space). And a seven foot, four hundred pound Sumo Wrestler was swinging a six foot polished wooden post with a medicine ball for its head.

    I

    WISH

    I WERE

    HALF THE

    MAN AS

    QUASIMODO. 2

The eyes of the giant were welded on his target. He swung with all of his strength and weight. The instant the head of the enormous mallet made contact with the gong was when my mind began to sense the magnitude of Willy’s statement. As the sound continued to reverberate in my mind and I pondered the incontrovertible truth, I hunched over the steering wheel and while holding both hands over my ears I screamed, The Bells, The Bells! 3

My family’s conversation had moved on without me. They had not felt the rain or heard the music or my screaming. I interrupted whatever they were now saying and shouted back to Willy. I said you are exactly right! And the more I think about what you said, the truer it becomes! Willy responded with OK, while stretching out the O. I needed more time to internalize the full meaning of his words. Carmen looked at me for several seconds with furrowed eyebrows and then joined our children’s conversation while I looked through the windshield at the white waves crashing and then running up the beach, wetting the light brown sand. This is what Willy taught me:

"IF WE REALLY BELIEVE THAT GOD IS ALL

KNOWING, THEN EVERYTHING WE DO HAS

    ALREADY HAPPENED IN

    GOD’S MIND."

    THE

    GOOD

    OLD

    DAYS

    REALLY

    SUCKED.

    THE PREMISE OF THE PREMISE

    GOD REALLY DOES EXIST

I remember as a child sleeping in our back yard in the Summertime. As with most families back then we didn’t have any type of cooling system. We would open all of our windows in order to catch any breeze that might blow through the house. I would also flip my pillow countless times during the night because the bottom side would be cooler. The back yard was a refreshing escape from the hot house. That is where I started to believe in God.

I would lay on my back in my soft flannel sleeping bag cushioned by four inches of Kentucky Bluegrass. I would stare into the clear black sky for hours watching intermittent shooting stars. Some would flash for only a second, while others streaked across my entire field of vision. In between the stars I tried to look deeper into space. Every night I would ask myself the same question. Where does the universe end? I thought about it until my little brain throbbed. I knew there must be an answer and I knew that only God could answer my question.

More recently I attended a debate held on a sunny Sunday afternoon in our City’s Library. The architecture is inspiring. The outer columns wind in a circular motion upwards resembling a modern Roman Coliseum. The debate was well attended. The subject of the debate was the existence of God.

    "YOU CAN DRESS

    A MONKEY IN A TUXEDO,

    BUT HE’S STILL A

    MONKEY." 4

The moderator introduced the two highly educated participants. An atheist and a theist. The atheist claimed that certain human traits, such as our weak lower vertebrae strongly suggests that humans once moved on four legs instead of two. The theist
