Charles Haanel, a visionary and philosopher of the early twentieth century was referring to the nature of thought when he penned these words; and science is now busy proving that indeed, his words are most likely true. In other words, we attract into our lives whatever we focus our thoughts upon, whether positive or negative. However, innumerable brilliant ideas and projects have died on their way to fruition because of a lack of action. And I am going to present to you eight deliberate action steps that you may take in order to skyrocket your power to attract what you want using the Law of Attraction; however, before I do that, I want you to understand how The Law of Attraction works.
So what is the Law of Attraction all about? Well, first of all, you are already experiencing it! Have you ever been emailing or phoning someone at the exact moment that same person is emailing or phoning you? Or has a new opportunity ever dropped into your lap out of the blue
? Or has fate
ever taken a hand in your affairs so that you just happened
to be in the right place at the right time? Well, it wasn’t fate that sent you all of those positive events; it was the Law of Attraction.
Experiencing a series of negative events one after the other, like losing a relationship, then a job, then having a little fender bender, is also evidence of the Law of Attraction in action.
It’s All About Feelings
You see, the Law of Attraction is all about feelings
or vibes.
Have you ever heard someone say, I get such weird vibes from that house. It’s spooky,
or He is such a nice guy. He has such good vibes?
When people use the word vibe they are really talking about the way that they feel either good or bad. That is, they feel weird when they pass by that house, or they feel good when they talk to certain people. Yep—it’s true—the Law of Attraction is all about feelings.
And what is a feeling? A feeling is just pure energy, and in every single moment, of every single day, every one of us is emitting or sending out our feelings into our very own personal energy fields.
Yes, science has now proven that there is a thinking, feeling, vibrating energy field around us that is continually monitoring and measuring the way that we are feeling—either good or bad. This energy field is governed and controlled by the Law of Attraction. When we are feeling good, the Law of Attraction responds to our feelings by sending us positive people, events and circumstances. And when we are feeling bad, the Law of Attraction sends negative people, events and circumstances our way.
The good news is that there are only two kinds of feelings, that is, good or bad, positive or negative. When you are feeling sad, lonely, depressed, frustrated, disappointed or angry, you are sending out negative feelings into your energy field and attracting more negativity. And when you are happy, elated, excited, and content you are sending out positive feelings and therefore attracting positive people, events and circumstances into your life.
Let’s take a couple of examples. Now all of us have had days when nothing seems to work. We get a flat tire on the way to work and then, when we finally arrive, our computer acts up. Then, for rest of the day, as we are scrambling just to catch up, everything goes from bad to worse. Why did our day deteriorate so quickly? Our day deteriorated quickly because we were sending out negative vibes and attracting all of the negativity around us.
And what about the times in our lives when everything just falls into place beautifully? We move to the little town that we have always wanted to live in, then we just happen
to meet someone who tells us about a job that we would like, so we apply, and we get it. Then we find a great little apartment at a very reasonable rent, then the gym just happens
to be next door to work, and then we find a wonderful new partner! Wow! We are ecstatic! Why did things go so well for us at this point of our lives? Things went well because we were sending out positive feelings about everything and attracting more of the same.
You see, your point of attraction is the way that you feel—either good or bad.
Yep—the truth is that we are the initial senders or creators, and the Law of Attraction is a boomerang—orchestrating and unfolding into our lives, people, events and circumstances that match our feelings.
If you want to know an easy way to remember this, just think of yourself as a human magnet, attracting people and things to you with your feelings.
Now that you have this information, you need to become more aware of what you are thinking and feeling, and to start watching what you saying and doing, so that your human magnetism can start attracting more of what you want into your life! In essence, you need to learn how to monitor the way that you feel, to become more deliberate about the way that you feel.
How do I do that, you say, when I am surrounded by negative news, negative people and negative circumstances? When I am living in a negative society filled with images of war, devastation and chaos? When I am living in a grotty little basement suite, my job stinks, I am broke and I don’t have a relationship?
Answer: You decide to become deliberate about feeling good!
This is a huge step! You can deliberately stop reading newspapers, watching violent movies, the news, and other negative media shows that might cause you to send out negative feelings. You can deliberately stop talking about depressing things and circumstances. And you can deliberately walk away from negative conversations and negative people.
You see, your one and only job as a student of the Law of Attraction is to feel good most of the time. Your one and only job is to keep feeling positive—to keep feeling good—about everyone and everything, in every moment.
Why? Because you want to change your life for the better, right?
Right! What else do you want to do? You want to start attracting all of that good stuff out there: a better job, more money, good health, and an improved or new relationship. You also want to start living a fabulous, happy, wonderfully satisfying life. Right?
Right! Well, you can do that by learning how to tap into the positive side of the Law of Attraction deliberately.
Aligning Your Thinking Self With Your Feeling Self
How do you do that? You begin by learning even more about the Law of Attraction. First of all, there are two parts to you. There is the physical part of you, that is, your body and all of its parts, and then there is the non-physical part of you. Of these two parts, physical and non-physical, the non-physical is the larger part.
Your non-physical self also has two parts— your mind and your spirit. Your mind is both conscious and subconscious and it surrounds you in your own energy field, an energy field which is part of the universal mind. This universal mind operates according to one basic law—the Law of Attraction. It is not only energetic, but it is also magnetic, carrying both positively and negatively charged thoughts. You send around sixty thousand thoughts into this field daily from your conscious mind. Your conscious mind picks up and interprets data from this field as being either positive or negative, according to your perceptions. It then sends this vibratory, energetically charged data to your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind receives your data, and accepts your interpretation of the data as truth—good or bad, right or wrong, positive or negative. It then directs and controls your results according to your interpretation, and to the majority of thought that you have stored in there with respect to any one interpretation. Your majority thoughts or dominating thoughts are your beliefs. Your beliefs are deeply embedded in your subconscious, and you are not even aware of most of them, especially the negative ones. They are, however, running your program.
In fact, your subconscious is your program. It is your operating system! Why the subconscious? Because the subconscious is automatic—it takes charge anytime the conscious mind relaxes. This means that it operates and directs your experience ninety five percent of the time. So if you have a lot of negative beliefs stored in there, you will experience negative results in your life, and, of course, the opposite is true.
However, here is the good news! You can learn to use your conscious mind to change any negative beliefs that may be stored in your subconscious mind! I will show you a way to do this later on, but for now, I want you to focus on training your conscious mind to take charge of what you are consciously thinking by tapping into your spirit. Why? Because all of your positive, loving feelings emanate from your spirit and your two minds are directly connected to your spirit. Your spirit is the larger part of you and it is your life force. It is part of you, but also part of every living being on the planet. Yes, there is a universal spirit, and it is the source of all wisdom, peace and love, just as you are the source of all wisdom, peace and love, at your very core.
Your spirit has been called by many names over the centuries—inner being, infinite intelligence, higher self, soul, source, intuition, the God within, the voice within, your gut
, your heart
, your sixth sense, your inner guidance system and Who You Really Are. Just for the sake of simplicity, from hereon in, I will call it your Higher Self or Who You Really Are.
As I have said, your Higher Self is the larger part of you, and it truly is the source of all wisdom, peace and love. And guess what else?
Your Higher Self has only has one job, and that is to keep you happy—to keep you vibrating at the highest positive rate in the universe. And the highest vibration in the universe is—you guessed it—love—just pure love!
Whenever you are experiencing negative feelings, be they anger, jealousy, sadness, frustration, worry or disappointment, these negative feelings are simply signals from your Higher Self to your conscious mind that you are thinking thoughts that are out of alignment with Who You Really Are.
So as a student of the Law of Attraction, you need to learn how to align your conscious thinking self with your Higher Self. This translates into making sure that most of the vibes you are sending from your conscious thinking mind are positively charged, so that you can successfully stay connected to Who You Really Are.
Neat, eh? Simple to understand! All you need to know is that you are supposed to feel good most of the time. You are supposed to keep sending out positive feeling thoughts to the Law of Attraction Energy Field as much as possible so that you may attract positive people and experiences into your life and learn to co-create with your Higher Self.
The key then, is to start paying attention to how you are feeling as much as you can because your Higher Self always knows best, and always has your best interests in mind. It sends you negative feelings when you are in danger, or when you are focusing
