About the It’s a Big Little World Series
The It’s a Big Little World series introduces children to the concept and challenges of globalization by combining travel, multiculturalism, and entrepreneurship in exciting, true-to-life scenarios. In this series, two North American children, Rocky and Allie, travel the world with their parents and have many an opportunity to learn about the culture and traditions of each country they visit.
As Rocky and Allie visit new countries, they make new friends and learn about cultural elements unique to each country or region. More importantly, Rocky, as an entrepreneur in the making, introduces his local hosts to business solutions as he himself becomes aware of his own need to adapt to a foreign cultural and social environment.
As the world we live in continues to evolve, globalization will continue to play an important role in new economic, social, and geopolitical developments. Globalization is affecting the lifestyles of people – especially children – in developing countries as new traditions are being imposed and
