The Yoruba Domino Oracle was surprisingly good. I can't vouch for its authenticity compared to any original method of using dominoes for divination, but the methods and meanings in this book are similar to what I learned. The differences have mostly to do with the meaning of some of the numbers and combinations, and the way of choosing and arranging them in a reading, but I can say that what is described in the book is sound. Also, having used dice, bones, cards and others of more or less complexity, the dominoes are a good tool, and I am happy that someone decided to write a guide. This is a good book for someone new to divination, as well as those more experienced because it doesn't leave out the part where one needs to be observant to the deities and take counsel from elders in the community. It has made my list of must-reads for my students who are numerically inclined.
