The Lost Shepherds of Paradise - James E. Joyce

    organizations.

    INTRODUCTION

There is much historical ground to be covered to understand why, as shepherds, we have lost our way. And then we must address what are the specific societal and industrial steps to be taken to insure peace and prosperity on earth?

Because of the nature of the beast, there will be, from time to time, paragraphs in this book written in stream of consciousness mode. At times, even within those paragraphs, the thought process can seem more than disjointed.

If one has not studied the JIMARIAN BIBLE there may be more confusion because some solutions and other statements will be offered without supporting background. The background has already been established in the BIBLE.

In the very beginning there will be an assault on portions of some religious beliefs. The assault in no way is meant to discourage a believer in the truly spiritually inspired teachings of their religion of choice. The assault is meant to identify and condemn those teachings that tend to establish an elite religion that promotes discord on this earth; teachings that are in direct conflict with the truly inspired beliefs of those very same religions.

The pragmatic solutions herein described recognize that we live in a world of accident and fate. Therefore these solutions do not offer perfection, but are reasonable solutions that place us more in tune with the Universal All.

Criticisms herein are intended to enlighten not ridicule. However, the hypocrites and CAUSATIONERS will stubbornly resist looking within themselves. People in general refuse on substantive matters to practice Metanoia. The author has spent a lifetime engaging believers in various religions and political ideologies (especially those who believe in Humanism), in spiritual discourse; only to find such believers intransigent in their beliefs as well as in their erroneous, supposedly logical or spiritual defenses of such beliefs.

Most people base those beliefs on ethnicity, educational indoctrination, conversion or baptism without having ever examined those beliefs in depth compared to other beliefs. Such belief comparisons can be found in BOOK I of the JIMARIAN BIBLE.

Not that human logic is all that it’s cracked up to be. Although, when included in such discourses are common sense, opened mindedness, experience, historical referral, and above all a pragmatic detailed understanding of the solution to a problem to be solved, progress towards a better world can be accomplished. Of course, such a better world can only function through societies based upon true Justice and mercy.

Ignorance in public affairs and blind allegiance to party affiliations and unworkable programs increase national poverty, as well as create a reduction in leisure time. One need only, without prejudice, examine the classic something for nothing typical Federal Government solution to real problems.

Currently (2012) in the United States of America is a perfect example of near hysterical ideology coupled with ever increasing popularity of an ignorance is bliss type of mentality. Mindless belief that there is a Holy Grail of something for nothing. The truth is that those clinging to such nonsense really believe that what is yours is also theirs to give away and what is theirs only belongs to themselves.

What everyone fails to understand, especially politicians, is that laws and regulations passed to satisfy constituents most often sacrifice the good of the whole for the benefit of the minority. Politicians take great pride in spending other people’s money to benefit their constituents as though it were the politician’s own money and that he or she is so magnanimous and heroic in accomplishing such marvelous achievements.

The case in point is the New Administration’s National Health Care Program (The year 2012). In a later chapter the subject of national health care will be pragmatically discussed. I am citing this particular grand government scheme as representative of similar types of silly grand programs that are built on rhetoric with absolutely no working knowledge of how to implement such a scheme. Yet ten of millions of human beings rant, rave and cheer that such a ridiculous program is the be all and end all of great national progress.

As unrelated as they appear, corollary historical programs include Marx grand scheme of From each according to his ability, to each according to his need and perhaps we should include the Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Social Security Program, not to mention his entire New Deal.

Herein are the enormous fallacies within such a program.

The purposes of the National Health Care Program are basically threefold:

    Improve Health CareImprove Health Care

Include 45 million people who have no health insurance

    Lower cost

For example, let’s just consider the 45 million uninsured.

Who are these people? Has anyone in favor of this particular Health Care Program ever seen a list of the uninsured? What if they are composed of at least three groups? Those citizens who are truly poor, those citizens who simply don’t wish to pay for health insurance and people who are illegally in this country.

Are there really these 45 million people in the first place?

If so, how many government employees are required to service the medical needs of just these 45 million, let alone 300 million?

What is so magical about permitting 5 million to 20 million or so illegals to freely benefit from the tax burden of such a program? Why not allow anyone in the world to come to America illegally; perhaps 100 million or even a billion? What is so special about Mexican illegals; why not millions of Chinese, North Koreans or any of the millions of emigrants from 200 different countries?

What are the exact forms, reports and other paperwork details? How and who processes the information, how long does it take? What are the exact acceptance and rejection criteria for each patient to receive such health care benefits? These are only several of the hundreds, if not thousands of basic criteria of information and planning to precede any consideration of enacting such programs. Several years of investigation and system’s planning and development would be required to even propose such a program.

How can any sane individual believe a two thousand page bill with no specifics, could ever accomplish anything worthwhile?

Having, in the Prologue and Introduction, established the parameters of the basis upon which this book has been written, the author will attempt to lay the foundation for a better national societal model.

    I. RELIGIOUS DOGMA

There are for practical purposes, two basic religious beliefs, Humanism and Spirituality.

Humanism in all its contrived forms has one fundamental, underlying principle. That the universe as we know it began with a burst of energy from a singularity within a void.

Spirituality in all its contrived forms has one of two underlying principles. Spirituality in the lives of human beings is either founded upon a God like image or THAT WHICH IS GREATER THAN OURSELVES.

Only if The Three basic moral absolutes described in the PROLOGUE form the fundamental basis of any society, no matter what the religious belief, can there be a hoped for better world. Of course, in the case of Humanism, those three basic characteristics would be ethical rather than moral absolutes.

If you very carefully study the Tao Te Ching you will find that even Lao Tzu (The Ancient Grand master) was caught between nationalism and spirituality because he indirectly questions the validity of war even while advocating that it be waged swiftly.

Of all the great religions including Humanism, only two, Buddhism (including Zen) and Christianity are founded completely on non-violent principles.

In all the great religions of the world including Humanism, there are underlying principles of fundamental goodness. However, elitism within the text material of those religions other than Buddhism predicates the expansion of those beliefs on warlike advocacies and/or exclusivity.

Buddhism unlike Christianity is not an elitist religion. Christians hold to the belief that after the death of Christ, only Christians are entitled to be with the God of the Jews in Heaven. Although, while professing their belief in the Old Testament wherein the coming Messiah was only a descendant of the House of David, not God himself, Christian teachings, in direct conflict with the Old Testament, have raised Jesus, not even a descendant of the House of David, to the status of a God.

The Muslim religion has two basic difficulties, the necessity of conducting defensive war (Jihad) and the forbidding of Muslims, according to the Koran, to associate with either Jews or Christians.

The Jewish Religion, the basic foundation upon which is built both the Muslim and the Christian Religions, is fraught with difficulties. The basic difficulty is, from a completely independent viewpoint, the whole idea of the validity of the Old Testament.

Both the Muslim and the Christian religion depend on the Old Testament for validation of their own beliefs, despite historical evidence and plain common sense, they support the Old Testament as the word of God, except, of course, where it differs from their own teachings.

This is not to repudiate that much of the Goodness in the teaching of all three of these great religions was spirituality inspired. It’s simply that voluminous, extraneous distractions and confusion in storytelling, miracles, deification and ritual obscure the originally intended spirituality of the teachings. Instead, it creates an elitist, sly and warlike mentality within each group.

If you want to know how indiscriminately brutal and murderous were the Jews and their God, Yahweh, simply read Deuteronomy.

With regard to Hinduism, the Bhagavad-Gita in some respects glorifies war if the cause is righteous.

The first written version of the Old Testament appeared around 800 BC. Many of its stories and homilies can
