Ruth Morgan was born in Carmarthen and grew up in Llandovery. She read English at Cardiff and went into teaching, where she felt inspired to invent stories for her classes. She’s written for television and radio and published fiction, poetry and plays for children. She is also a visiting storyteller at Cardiff Castle. She now teaches in Penarth, where she lives with the illustrator Chris Glynn, and their son, Gethin.
