      Another favorite. Can't wait for Rome. Hoping it continues with Nash and Rowdy too. Great books here. These guys are awesome!

      I think Jay Crownover is a new favorite author of mine! I'm really enjoying this series and the first two novels, while they have similarities, are definitely different from one another. And I really liked this book because Ayden is the one that runs away from the intense relationship that she has with Jet - not the other way around when the guy runs away and screws up. Ayden is tough as nails and I loved her in this book, even though I wanted to bash her head a few times when she was thinking "logically". While I couldn't related to the metal music, since I forbid to listen to that stuff, I can imagine how hard it must have been on Jet and his band. But I was very proud of Jet on his decisions that he made throughout his tour. So excited to get to read the next book, already, since I got it on Edelweiss!

      I read some negative reviews so I went in reading this book very skeptical but I loved it... Rule is still my fav tattooed bad boy but I loved Jet ... Onto Rome can't wait for the rest of these books to publish

I mean with his tight leather pants, pierced and tattooed body he is every girls rock and roll dream man. But everything about Jet screams bad boy and Ayden has spent the last few years running from anyone that makes her feel like the girl she grew up being. She has built a new perfect life for herself and she will do anything to make sure it stays that way, even if it means staying away from Jet. But the funny thing about your past — it always seems to catch up to you one way or another. When Ayden starts getting mysterious phone calls from an unknown number and someone breaks into her apartment she knows that her perfectly formed life is going to start to unravel.Jet Keller is a low level rockstar that isn’t quite ready to hit the big time yet. It’s not that he hasn’t had a lot of opportunities because he has been offered multiple record deals, but he is afraid that if he leaves home his mother will suffer the consequences. Jet’s father knocked up his mom when they were both young and it ruined his chances at hitting the big time in the music business. Subsequently, he decided to blame his wife and child for his misfortunate. He tries to live through his son and his wife’s feelings are of little concern to him. Jet hates his father, but his mom worships the ground he walks on and won’t leave him no matter how awful he treats her. So suffice to say Jet has a very warped sense of what love means. So when gorgeous cowgirl Ayden walks into his life he knows that he should stay away. There is just something about her that makes Jet want to throw away his no relationship rule and give her everything. But he is scared to open himself up and there is also the tiny issue of Ayden wanting the perfect guy, and Jet in no way fits into that mold.Ayden is an interesting girl that I really admired. She came from a rough childhood and I commend her for changing her life, but she has bottled her past up and tried to forget it. It seems that no matter how hard she tries to change herself she still has tendencies that stir up the old her. I really liked Ayden as a character. She was very complex and it was interesting to be inside her head. She had a spunky attitude that was fun and easy to like. Even though she puts on a tough front she is a very good person and cares deeply for the people in her life. I thought that she was easy to connect with and I enjoyed reading her story.Jet is a total charmer with his bad boy persona and sexy voice. He has left a trail of broken hearts, but love was never an issue until he meets Ayden. The feelings she stirs in him are scary and he’s not sure if risking getting hurt is worth it. Jet is a total stud not only is he totally gorgeous he is also a really great person. Sure he’s certainly not perfect, but when it comes to the people he cares about he will bend over backwards for them. On the outside he is the perfect picture of a bad boy but he is actually a really sweet guy and he knows that things with Ayden are fragile. So he tries to protect himself and not fall to hard too fast. His relationship with Ayden is full of bottled up sexual tension and when everything explodes it is pretty hot. I loved Jet and when it comes to a hot sensitive rock star you don’t really get any better than him.This was a sexy book full of drama, romance, and a little mystery. I thought that it was a tad longer than I would have liked and at times I felt that it dragged a little, but overall I thought it was a very entertaining read. The best part is the characters. You really get to know them and feel like you are a part of their lives. There is also a great cast of secondary characters that you grow to love. Actually, my favorite character in the book is Ayden and Jet’s roommate, and I am really excited that the next book in the series is her story. Crownover does a great job mixing the steamy romance and the drama. I loved that there was a subplot outside of the love story, it made the book a much more intriguing read. This is the second book in the series and I haven’t actually read the first book, but this stood alone just fine. I will be picking up the next book in the series. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is looking for a new adult book that is full of sexy times and great characters.Notable Scene:I was breathing hard and I could see how wild my dark eyes looked in the mirror. I was just about to splash cold water on my face to try to get some level of control back, when I heard my name, spoken in a soft southern drawl, from the other side of the door. I was going to growl at her to leave me alone, but I didn’t get a chance, because she pulled the door open and met my gaze in the mirror. All I could do was stare at her while everything swirling under the surface suddenly broke through. I heard her ask me what was wrong, and was aware that I demanded to know what she was thinking by bringing that guy here.But all of that white noise against the roar of something far louder and far more powerful thrumming in my heated blood.I wasn’t aware of moving toward her. I wasn’t aware of pushing her up against the door with the entire length of my body. I wasn’t aware of tangling her silky hard around my fingers and getting it caught up in my rings. I heard her gasp when my tongue ring nit the warm center of her mouth. I was going to pull away, going to apologize over and over again and tell her it had just been a shitty week, but before I could, she wrapped her arms around my neck and I felt any resistance she had, any control I retained, melt under a soft little murmur of pleasure.FTC Advisory: William Morrow/HarperCollins provided me with a copy of Jet.       This started out really well. Then the heroine started making decisions for everyone else, thinking she knew best, and it all went downhill.

      I'm not a fan of the self-sacrificing plot and the heroine takes that to an extreme here. The plot with the her brother was ridiculous and silly.

      What saved the book was the hero. He was angry and a little EMO at times, but he was real about it. He didn't pretend everything was well or shy away from things because they were hard or scary. He was a well rounded character and made the story worth reading.

      This is Jet and Ayden's book, yay!

      Jet is a tattooed rocker, screaming heavy metal to get out the rage he feels inside due to his messed up family. He has an abusive father and a mother that will do anything to make said abusive father happy.

      Ayden is a girl running from her past. A past where she was not such a good girl, and did a lot of things she is ashamed of. Leaving her past and moving to Denver to go to school, Ayden reinvents herself as a studious good girl and dates the good guys to prove it.

      Sometimes though, life has a way of choosing for you...and life chose Jet for Ayden. Jet may not look the part of the good guy that Ayden thinks she needs, but he is perfect for her. She just has to let herself believe it and accept it.

      All in all, I was happy with the way this book played out. The love story wasn't as intense as Rule and Shaw's, but it was a good one nonetheless. There was drama that may have seemed a bit forced, Asa has a lot of redeeming to do...it will be interesting to see if he will.

      After reading this one, I am DYING for Rome's book!!!

      I love these stories, in the Marked Men series, because this is just an amazing group who are more like family to one another as opposed to friends. And I love that concept of being able to choose a "family" rather than have to suffer through your own. I think that is important for both of these characters this time around. Rule and Shaw, as broken as they were, come from wealth. So it was nice to have characters who didn't come from good or privileged families. They both had goals and that helped drive them to be better than what they came from. Most people just complain about their troubled situations, but these two took initiative to change that. They wanted a better life for themselves and strived to make that happen. I think that's admirable. Both of these characters are cute together and have such great traits. Jet for his voice and charm, and Ayden for her sweet, sassy, southern self. Definitely a recommended read.

      Excellent read! Loving this author's style. Great story, great characters, with a nice easy flow to the story. These characters, Jet and Ayden, are both troubled souls that really help each other see what is possible and good. Adored them. This one is definitely going on the reread shelf. I highly recommend this one.

      I love this series. The characters are so perfectly flawed. I first started this series a couple years ago and ever since then have thought over the characters and story lines countless times. It's one of my favorite series to go back and reread. It's got all the good sexy loving you could ask for, and that will stay with you. Along with enough anghst to burn the back of your eyes and squeeze your heart. You'll love the characters and hurt for them and cross your fingers that they pull their heads out of their ass', and at the end of it all you'll want to do it all over again.
