About this ebook
Children of the Seasons rule the city-state of Ohndarien, a bastion of freedom and justice in a brutal world. But their brightest star, Brophy, the Heir of Autumn, has been falsely accused of murder, and the utopia falls to treachery and deceit. Exiled to an enemy kingdom, Brophy's only hope for survival lies in the deadly gladiatorial game of Nine Squares—and in the uncertain favors of a beautiful queen. And Ohndarien's struggle for peace and liberty falls under deeper shadow when evil powers, lost for centuries, wake in the wilderness, and an ancient terror walks the world again.
Giles Carwyn
Todd Fahnestock and Giles Carwyn met in high school nineteen years ago. Within an hour of meeting, they started a philosophical conversation they haven't been able to finish yet. Their nomadic lifepaths have crisscrossed again and again. Through the years they have dated the same women, been best man at each other's weddings, and attended the births of each other's children. They currently live twenty-five blocks from each other in Littlewood, Colorado, with their stunning wives, Lara and Tanya, and their freakishly well-named children: Liefke, Elowyn, Luna, and the Dash-man.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Pre09:Rare feat: I didn't finish this book it was so bad. I made it about 200 pages (Until after lead was exiled and toured the new city.)This was written by two guys, and it really shows. Rape and domination galore.Characters: I didn't like any of them. Well, the naked chick was okay, but she only got about 1 page in 20 and most of the time she was getting raped and not remembering it. The lead boy was so drop dead boring I had to stop. The 'queen' was okay, but for all the 'iron' they talked about her having her actions were weak willed.Plot: Almost there, but not. A city with an odd government tries to survive. Not really what I like to read about. Without the right characters to drive it you get crap.Style: Perfectly okay. Nothing to really complain about. Nothing to brag about. Pretty much just perfectly okay fantasy.
