- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Review by: Audrey Teenage Mermaid is about a mermaid, named Lily, who falls in love with a human named Spencer. Lily saves his life but, losses her great-grandfathers necklace in the process. She meets Spencer, falls in love and forgets to take her necklace back. She comes again and he finds out she is a mermaid. When she is about die of a broken heart he kisses her and he becomes a merman. This book is a modern version of The Little Mermaid. It's funny, exciting and romantic.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Retelling of the Little Mermaid story. Very accessible, a really fun read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Spencer is a surfer dude with changable hair colors. Lilly is an unhappy mergirl who is facinated by the Earthies who live above the sea. When Lilly saves Spencer from drowning with a kiss of true love will things ever be the same?It was kind of hard to take this book seriously, but I'm thinking it really wasn't meant to be. An updated take off of The Little Mermaid and Splash, Teenage Mermaid reminded me of cotton candy. Pretty to look at, a little too sweet and not much substance. An interesting way to spend an hour's worth of reading time.
