About this ebook
The only official tie-in to the Fox hit TV series New Girl—a great gift idea for fans of the series!
The Douche Journals features breakout character Schmidt’s social gaffes and hilarious misfires for which his roommates require him to put cash in an official “Douchebag Jar” along with more inside jokes, backstory and insights into the character, written in his hilarious and self-aggrandizing voice.
The massively popular TV series New Girl follows Jess (Zooey Deschanel) after she moves into a loft with three male roommates—Schmidt, Nick, and Winston—and follows their exploits in dating, work, and relationships.
Schmidt (played by actor Max Greenfield) is a breakout character with his conversational misfires and self-important (but well-intentioned) one-liners on subjects ranging from sex and dating to grooming and style. A running joke on the show is the roommates make Schmidt put money into a “douchebag jar”—it’s like a swear jar, but instead of putting in money when you curse, you put in money when you say something douchey.
The Douche Journals, written in the voice of the character, will feature a written log of each douchey infraction, complete with Schmidt’s excuses, explanations, and commentary in a “What I learned” or “Notes” section beneath the description of the infraction. This will provide ample opportunity to expand on running jokes, provide more background into the character (what IS his first name?), and give fans added details about their favorite moments from Season 1 as well as all new funny anecdotes.
