About this ebook
Is there a story behind the daily drama of your life? Being a teenager isn’t always easy. From homework to after-school jobs to having to think about the future, life can feel chaotic. But did you know that the chaos and confusion, as well as the joys and excitements you experience, are part of God’s ordered plan? In this teen adaptation of God’s Story, Your Story, bestselling author Max Lucado explores the divine narrative in the New Testament, as well as several contemporary examples, to show how your everyday life is part of God’s bigger redemption story, and that God is there, no matter what you may face in your life. Real teen responses and real-life application questions are also included to help you further connect God’s narrative to your own. Because God’s story is your story—and he is adding to your chapter every day.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5God’s Story; Your Story (Youth Edition)by Max LucadoZondervan Published 10/01/2011Rating: 4.5 StarsI’ve heard it said that only when you can teach something to someone else in a way that they understand, does a person truly know it. If that is the case, then Max Lucado really knows his way around the Bible.Being a teenager is hard, there is no doubt about it. Especially in today’s volatile environment. Trying to balance life as a student, an employee and an active participant in social or sport activities can be demanding. Striving to be all things can leave our youth feeling confused and overwhelmed; prime targets for being led astray from the Word of God.This book is a study in the New Testament that helps teens take a step back from the chaos of their lives and be reminded of their purpose. How God makes the ordinary, extraordinary and how their life story follows the one God has planned for them. Geared to address issues that teens face, Max Lucado challenges them to think about the question that Jesus asked of all of us; “Who do you say I am?” by asking themselves, who do they listen to?I liked how the information was presented in smaller, easy-to-digest pieces. The “Don’t Just Sit There” sections throughout the book gave great ideas and advice to encourage teens to get involved and interact with others while maintaining a God-inspired focus. Stories from other students, ages 15-18, tell how they understand how they see God working in their lives. A question guide at the end of the book helps with topic discussions. This book would be perfect for a youth group study session or classroom setting.
