    Chapter Two

    Jesus' First Miracle (2:1-12)

¹,²on the third day after arriving in Galilee, Jesus and his disciples were invited to a wedding that was taking place in the town of Cana, and Mary, Jesus' mother, was also there. ³During the course of the celebration the supply of wine ran out, and when Mary discovered this she went to inform Jesus.

¹¹This miracle which Jesus performed in the town of Cana, Galilee was the first public demonstration of his divine power. And that was when his disciples really began to put their full trust in him.

¹²When the festivities were over Jesus left along with his mother, brothers and disciples, and they journeyed over to the town of Capernaum on the Sea of Galilee where they remained for several
