      Titania Winters is happy with her life as a vet, she keeps a fairly low profile as she is a half-breed shapeshifter and various factions want her dead. When a friend asks her to help a shifter clan with a horse problem she reluctantly agrees and then she meets Dominick. Sparks fly between the two of them and they're very compatable but is either of them willing to give up their current lives to be with the other? Then things start going wrong and they have to work together to survive.Yeah, it's fairly predictable but it deals well with the issue of consent.

      At 49% of this book I'm so tired of Tatiana I can't decide if I want to finish this book. She wants absolutely nothing to do with her Amoveo side, but she gets pissed because everybody hasn't dropped everything to tell her what's going on with war with the Purists and the Caedo. Yet, she doesn't share with them. She doesn't want anything to do with a mate, but she's all over him and thinks everything feels so right until he thinks she's staying and once again she wants nothing to do with him. 66% of the book and who really spills their plans and suspicions in front of a prisoner that they're getting ready to hand over in an exchange with their enemy? Knid of a rookie move from some bad-ass shifter people.I just didn't care for this book. It could've been better, but I just found too many things that irritated me. I gotta confess though, this is only the second book in the series that I've read and I didn't really care for the other one either but thought I'd give it another try. Obviously this series isn't for me. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

      Tatiana, a hybrid of human and Amoveo (Wolf Clan shifter) had been taught to fear the Amoveo, uses her gifts as a veterinarian and wants nothing to do with the culture her sister Layla has now embraced. She’s talked into coming to the prince’s ranch when his Arabian horses become ill and they can’t trust a human vet with what might be happening. And as soon as she gets there she’s attacked by Dominic, the ranch’s lead Guardian and her mate when he senses an unknown energy signature near Richard, their prince.This one has more sex than the prior books, more than one threat and more than one couple, although the focus is on Tatiana and Dominic. Issues from a prior story are addressed and practically everyone met in a prior book is on hand at some point. Of course it’s Tatiana who isn’t sure she wants to give up her freedom even though she loves him. If you liked the prior books you’ll definitely enjoy this one. But don’t start with this one. Start at the beginning, especially since it’ll be obvious that most of the characters have already had their own books. I don’t suggest reading these stories back-to-back. In each one there is angst because the female isn’t sure she can or wants to be mated and it can get heavy when reading multiple stories so one on top of the other. But it does feel good when the romance comes together. -
