      A fast-paced, insightful account that keeps your attention to the end.

      Overall a good book. Not so much for excitement or action, but for the quick history of the Soviet Navy, and the incites to the mind set of the average Soviet Sailor during the Cold War. The recreating of the day to day life in the Soviet Navy and how they were forced to find creative ways to get what they needed to run and maintain their ship were inlighting.. Also the realization that a Sailor is a Sailor no matter what colour his uniform or Flag might be. (They have their equivalents to a bucket of steam, sea bats and left handed monkey wrenches).
