About this ebook
A gripping new novel from bestselling author J.D. Mason about a wealthy Texas family and the one woman who holds— and will reveal—all their dirty secrets
Desdimona Green has been the name on everyone's lips in Blink, Texas. Twenty-five years ago, at the age of eighteen, she shot and killed one of the wealthiest men and pillars of the community, oil baron Julian Gatewood. The Gatewood family was considered untouchable, so the whole state of Texas was rocked to its core over Julian's murder. They were even more shocked to discover that Desi is Julian's daughter and her mother had been his lover for years. But when Desi gets out of jail and promptly inherits millions from Julian's estate, everyone knows that there is much more to the story—and Desi Green is the keeper of the Gatewood secrets, including what happened the night Julian died. When a famous true crime reporter shows up on her doorstep wanting the full story, Desi agrees to reveal all, much to the horror of the Gatewoods, who will do anything to stop her. But Desi has more than a few tricks up her sleeve...

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5When she is 18 years old, Desi Green is arrested and placed in prison. She is there for the murder of her mother's boyfriend, Julian Gatewood. It happens in her mother's house. Ida Green, Desi's mother, falls apart. She screams her daughter's innocence. The sheriff and the lawmen don't listen to her. After a dirty trial, Desi is locked up for twenty-five years. The majority of the story takes place after Desi has served her time. She is free. She is rich because her mother leaves her twenty million dollars. This is the money left to Ida by Julian Greenwood, her lover.Desi Green decides to write a book about that horrible night of murder and chaos. A reporter named, Sue, will help along the way. What I found interesting is a question brought up for years. If you have served time in prison, do you have the right to write a book that will turn a big profit? I pondered this question while reading J.D. Mason's BEAUTIFUL, DIRTY, RICH. This novel will make you think about our justice system. It is important for judges, deputies, lawyers to have true blue character. After all the fate of our families and friends are in their hands. I thoroughly enjoyed the novel. I look forward to reading more books written by J.D. MASON.usmacmillanauthorjdmason
