      What qualities are necessary in building a successful love relationship?

      Trust is a very strong quality in building a successful love relationship. Without trust, there is no real lasting and enduring relationship. Of course, people, even in the most ardent romantic relationships are reluctant to trust their partner 100% and that is certainly understandable. With so many couples breaking up, now on a regular basis, it is almost impossible to trust somebody fully...and that fact is certainly understandable. But to make a relationship work, there has to be trust, or else the suspicion and mistrust grows to the point where the relationship is doomed.

      Trusting your partner, at least past a fifty percent level doesn't cause you to lower your guard, or make you extremely cynical either. If it is a new relationship, there is a period of adjustment and getting to know each other. So trust is either there, or hanging fleetingly just past the horizon. Many people have also been 'burned' in previous relationships, and are reluctant to give somebody even a ten percent trust level, never mind a sixty or seventy percent trust level. In that case, getting past the cynicism by trusting again is crucial to restoring your 'relationship-balance' in life. Young couples seem to endure the worst hurt, because of lack of real-life experience in dealing with such matters, and seem to give their trust far more.

      Whatever the case is, building a degree of trust is absolutely critical to maintaining healthier relationships, which, invariably, cut down on your stress levels, damage to self-esteem. Plus, also cuts down on the brick wall that you may be erecting around you. The point is in building trust, not giving it one hundred percent. But at least at a comfortable enough margin that can be built upon in the future. Through building of trust comes a stronger relationship that doesn't crumble over doubt, mistrust, suspicion and fear. Both partners end up being far more comfortable with each other, and ultimately stay together longer.

      Affection and attentiveness are two other crucial elements to building a successful love relationship, This does not always mean having sex. It can mean the little things, like remembering a birthday and either buying a really nice gift, or spending the day crafting something with your own two hands that pour out, 'I love you.' It can also mean just lovingly taking your partner's hand. In other words, not walking ten paces apart like an old married couple that seen better romantic days. Additionally, kissing your partner in public, and not acting embarassed and shamed. These things ultimately connect to the trust issue-and to the relationship itself.

      Reasons to 'play the field' before marrying

      It can be very advantageous to play the field before marrying. Be one man or woman, playing the field a bit actually helps either sex in being able to find a better mate for themselves. Instead of just going out with a handful
