    Charlene Bays Rothenberger authored two inspirational novels, A Month of Sundays, and One of The Nine (to be released in May) as well as four children books. Each story is a life lesson with a moral intended to help children as they grow. The titles are Kara's Kapers with Katypillar in three volumes of three stories each, and Grannie's Bedtime Stories. She passed away in January 2013, leaving us her works.

      Mommy, Mommy, shouted Kara as she jumped up and down in front of the living room window. Grannie and Grandpa are here! Now can we go to the zoo tomorrow? Racing through the kitchen to the top of the basement stairs, she yelled. Jason, come on up! They’re here!

      Jason, her older brother, came up the steps in time to see his grandparents coming through the front door. Hi Grannie and Grandpa, he greeted them.

      Putting Kara down, Grannie said, Come over here Jason and give me a hug, you’re not too old for that are you? Jason walked across the room and threw himself into his grandmother’s arms, almost knocking her down. She hugged him whispering into his ear. I love you.

      Grandpa then handed Jason an envelope.
