About this ebook

They say money makes money, but I say people make money. There is a simple fact that people that know how to make money often think alike, they often identify opportunities and know how to act when positioned for success. This success is attributed to the Mindset they share and their ability to unlock their full potential.

Today I share with you in detail how you can choose a similar fate of success by understanding one's full potential and becoming the driver of your life, or you could choose to forever STAY POOR!

Many of you have read my story by now and understand how I have been able to create a significant amount of wealth from nothing. My circumstance was no different than anyone else's; I was not born into money and was not given opportunities that only a select few receive.

I CHOSE SUCCESS, aligned my goals and life to it and became the driver of my life taking myself into the world I once saw as a dream. You too have that same opportunity but now no longer have to go through all the trials and errors to attain the knowledge.

This book is not going to tell you to find investors, spend money, or even go buy real estate. This book is going to change the way you look at everything around you, it will give you an opportunity to identify and act on opportunities but more importantly teach you how to be fearless in your quest for success.

Staying Poor is a choice but Stay Poor will show you that Success and Wealth is more about MINDSET than anything else. More importantly I will give you the missing key to your success and will actually ask you to do something about it, because ideas are nothing more than ideas without ACTION.

Words From the Author

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

– Thomas Edison

Thomas Edison said it best when asked about what he thought of the American Dream. He believed that opportunities exist for all of us and yet many fail to notice them as a misconception of what the American Dream could be and clouds people’s judgment and thinking; thus keeping them from acting in the right manner that would potentially lead them to great outcomes.

What is the American Dream?

There are numerous times we hear about the American Dream and the easy openings this country creates for success, but we never take a minute to define what it really means and to what degree the dream is a reality.

Having lived in the United States, as well as Europe and the Middle East, I will give you my perspective on this very intriguing topic and define what the American Dream really is and can be for you.

Freedom is the overall picture of what is described here. With freedom comes ability and opportunity, which are the main driving factors of the American Dream. The lack of restrictions simply means that people have the ability to try and reach for their goals and dreams. Many factors come into play when we think of our abilities — we can think as simple as going to college, or starting our own restaurant or buying into someone else’s franchise.

The difference remains that we have various ways to attain our goals and the freedom to do so, unlike in many other countries. For example, we have grants and financial aid to help us go to school, we have SBA and other entry loan programs to help us build a restaurant, and we have franchising finances to help us buy into a McDonald’s.

We also have a simpler and cost free solution that we often take for granted: the ability to move up within corporate America and to do so quickly, without any major expense. Many organizations encourage internal growth and even enable us to further our education on their dime. This might be more of a time consuming process, as you must work full time while going to school but it is a possibility that remains, just not an easy one. As you can see, the ability is in our hands and the opportunities do exist, because of the laws that govern this country; for example, Equal Employment Opportunity Act and the Bill of Rights, are resources this country created for the people, which provides a sense of balance for all.

We know why we are the country of opportunity, but do we fully utilize this opportunity or do we simply give up on the American Dream because our lives and society have become so conventional?

Like Edison said, Do we all miss the opportunities that lie ahead simply because we believe the American Dream to be a ‘get rich quick’ system? Could it be that we want to believe we can get wealthy without working hard and that our entire perception of the American Dream is nothing more than what a pyramid scheme promises to do?

The reality remains that Edison was right! Most people do overlook this because it does appear to be like work, but the American Dream exists and it is there staring at you every day —at your ordinary day job. Taking a trip to Europe would show you how valuable working at a restaurant here in the U.S. can be. It would show you how people in Europe with PhD’s work as waiters because no other employment opportunities exist. Yet here, sixteen year old high school students hold that same power in their hands everyday while going to college and have the opportunity to act on their degree after they graduate, even in the middle of a recession. So next time you believe that the American Dream is the get rich quick opportunity, think twice. Remember that those who founded those multimillion-dollar companies and empires that you rely on today, did not do so overnight and did not do so with ease. It took years of hard work, common sense, seizing the right opportunities, but more importantly taking a risk — a simple risk
