About this book
This book has been written for people who are relatively new to booking travel online and enjoy planning and researching their travel. By following advice in this book, making online travel reservations can be rewarding and save you money!
Travel agents are a paid service, where most of the planning is done for you. If you’re the type of person who would like to book your own travel, you can save money. Self-help online travel tools are continuously improving, making it easier for people to search for bargains and book travel. However, there are a few cases in this book where we discuss how a travel agent may still need to provide some assistance.
We also show you ways of obtaining current and much broader feedback and reviews on travel products like hotels and tours, from what any travel agent experience can offer.
This book offers you tips and guidance in booking travel, so that you can successfully book cruises, hotels, airfares, tours, transfers, trains and much more.
If you’re new to booking travel online, why not start simple. Ease yourself into the online booking experience by using a travel agent for most of your travel and book at least one item yourself like a hotel. Within time you will build up your knowledge and experience in this area and feel much more comfortable booking most of your travel arrangements.
How to use this book
This book has been written to allow you to easily navigate to a particular chapter of interest (e.g. Booking hotels). To easily browse and navigate to your chapter of interest, use your book reader Table of Content button, or try searching for a topic of interest.
