Love It Enough

About this ebook
Humorous contemporary fantasy short story. It's hard enough to find a literary agent and get a publishing contract these days. But does supernatural help make it easier--or harder?
Tinney S. Heath
Tinney Heath's first literary love is historical fiction, but fantasy is not far behind. Her historical interests can best be described as Dantecentric (if Dante lived it, wrote about it, or consigned it to the Inferno, it's fair game), but fantasy can take her anywhere. She and her husband live in Madison, Wisconsin, where they play a lot of medieval and early Renaissance music on (in ascending decibel levels) recorders, crumhorns, portative organ, and shawms. She loves to travel to Italy for research (not to mention art, music, and pasta). She has a degree in journalism, and finds that while "who, what, when, where, why, and how" are still vital questions for her, "what if" has muscled its way in and taken its rightful place in the pantheon.

My ex-boyfriend Larry wants to be a Top Reviewer for Amazon when he grows up. He's been practicing by extolling his new girlfriend's YA paranormal romance, Passionate Zombie Liaisons. Five stars. Nerissa Coleridge. Was this review helpful to you?
It wasn't Nerissa he gave as a reason when he told me he was moving out. Writers are sensitive creatures,
he said. We need time by ourselves to be truly creative. It's not you, Babe, it's just that I feel my muse calling and I must answer.
His muse has him lurching through a derivative thriller about arcane symbolism, gruesome murders, and the end of the world as we know it. I think he ended up blaming the Vatican, though he may have decided to go with Al Quaeda. Or the UN.
He's right about one thing, though. Writing is a solitary business. You can be surrounded by people, and still it's just you and the words on the screen in front of you. Or you and the blank screen, more likely. You can dissipate your art in conversation, as Oscar Wilde
