The Groundhog: A Short Story
()
About this ebook
Unemployment can be hard, but a newly-unemployed man discovers that there are creatures in this world worse on a person's self-esteem than life-destroying bosses.
In his backyard, a new threat emerges. It's brown, fuzzy, and likes eating everything in sight. With his nerves and self-esteem already trashed by losing his job, one man must find the courage to face his furry fears. Or, at least, figure out why humans are (theoretically) the dominant lifeform on this planet.
Jonathan Brett
Jonathan Brett has had adventures through several career paths including teaching, newspaper, public relations, human resources, retail, and factory work. One would think he learned a lot about the human condition, but has discovered that he has learned quite a bit about very little, which is one of the reasons that he keeps writing. Brett lives in Brockway, Pennsylvania, with his wife and son.

You see, I’m an unemployed American male with a singular problem. That problem is Legion. It is an insidious monster that threatens to dig up everything I hold dear. But,
