    In the village of Crafthole,

    Stood the old New Inn,

    A favourite of the smugglers,

    Who always met there in.

    One fateful day they met there,

    On the way to Plymouth with their haul,

    The excise men were waiting,

    There was a terrible brawl.

    The leader of the smugglers,

    Was to die that day,

    But his friends and companions,

    Managed to get away.

    Finny was the smugglers name,

    And he would not stay at rest,

    And from then for always,

    He'd haunt the Inn that he liked best.

    With all his appearances,

    The Inns name did change,

    Named after this apparition,

    Who is left free to range.

    When ever England is in danger,

    From the threat from a strange,

    The Black Prince
