Black Vaughan
Thomas Vaughan was an evil man,
That was how he gained his name,
In life he was always troublesome,
In death he was the same.
He met his death in battle,
But his ghost did not lie still,
Which for the local villagers,
Was a very bitter pill.
As legend now tells it,
By twelve priests he was exorcised,
In a magical circle,
He was shrunk to a tiny size.
His spirit was placed in a box,
Then thrown into a pool,
The pool was later emptied,
And the box was opened by a fool.
Only later did he realise,
Once again Black Vaughan was free,
Again more he was exorcised,
And was vanquished under a tree.
The Blind Fiddler
Blind George did the fiddle play,
At the inn every day,
