Waldo Malan loves music. Because of this love he has been involved on all levels of music since he was a child. His interest in music led him to the Drakensberg Boys Choir School, of which he was a member from age 9 through 15. While there he not only toured the world, but sang and started composition lessons in serialism with the Australian composer David Worrall at age 11. Incidentally, this was also the year in which he started with his piano studies. GIVING OVER OUR OWN WAYS
We have the choice of whom we worship in life. There is not much choice in the fact of whether or not we want to worship, because we were created to worship. Every person on the face of the earth is worshipping something: themselves, or objects, or things, and even other gods. In life it doesn’t matter what you worship or who you worship. You could be worshipping a tree stump or you can worship the sun god or river spirits, or whatever. However, as soon as you give yourself over to the worship of that god, you give that god the right to prescribe in which manner to be worshipped.
So you’ll find in pagan rituals, often that there are certain things that need to be done. For example, angry or displeased water gods are appeased by the sacrifice of life. Usually we find that people sacrifice babies or virgins [symbols of purity] to that god. Why do they do that? Because that god requires that sacrifice. Again if you worship the sun god [Ra] you have to wake up before the sun rises
