A Note of Gratitude
I am extremely grateful to God for pouring His grace upon me so that I overcame infertility and also for allowing me to write this book to you. It is a privilege to be His instrument as He ministers to you and encourages you through His Word as it speaks to you throughout this book.
My gratitude must be expressed for all the support and encouragement that my husband, Freeman, gave me as I wrote this book. Thanks for loving me through the process of becoming an author. Reliving the time that we went through infertility has made me even more grateful that God put us together. I love us
!
A big thank you goes to my son Nathan for typing my first draft, and to my son Andre’ and my daughter Simone, for proofreading. You are each so very much loved and appreciated as blessings to me. Thanks for making me a proud mom. It’s pure pleasure having you in my life.
Thanks also to John Burton, who encouraged and directed me in the details of how to write a book.
This project had its beginnings even before it was clear to me that I needed to write it. I have friends that were God’s instruments in ministering to me, and unknowingly, set me on the path to writing this book. Thank you Zetta Browning, Tracy Tisdale and Karen Evans for your friendship and obedience so many years ago, in your bold outpouring of God’s love and wisdom during the time that Freeman and I endured the struggle of infertility. I’m grateful for the love, wisdom, and encouragement of my former pastor, the late Rev. Bernard L. Jackson and his wife, the late Joan E. Jackson. Joan always encouraged us to keep a journal of what God was saying to us. Being able to look back through those journals has been invaluable during the process of writing this book.

Afterword: My Story
Appendix: God’s Promises of Fertility---Confessions of Faith
Introduction
The pain of infertility hurts worse than the pain of delivering a baby. I have experienced both sources of pain. The intense pain of infertility can last for many months or even years and hurts at depths within your soul that can eventually challenge your sense of completeness as a woman. Labor and delivery of a baby typically cause intense pain only within your body and usually lasts less than 24 hours. My experience with both sources of pain has given me a platform from which I can offer hope for victory to women who are struggling with infertility.
Throughout the years since overcoming infertility and childlessness, I have come to understand the importance of sharing what we’ve learned through the victories we’ve experienced in life. Sharing those insights of victory serves as a means of empowerment and encouragement for others. The Word of God is the source of hope in my life and was the source of my victory over infertility.
I want to share with you, and those that you know and love who may be in the struggle of overcoming childlessness, that through faith in Jesus and speaking the Word of God, I am a three-time victor in that struggle. I want to make it clear to you that there is hope!
After finishing college, working as an engineer, and getting married, I wanted to add to my life the experience of being filled with the joy of giving birth and parenting children. When my husband and I decided the time had come to add children to our family unit, we agreed I would be the full-time stay-at-home parent since both of us desired our children receive daily care and nurturing from one of us. We’ve been blessed that I have been able to remain a stay-at-mom ever since overcoming infertility and giving birth to our first child.
For my husband and me, infertility began as a process of suffering repeated disappointment month after month. Because I had always experienced heavy and painful menstrual periods since my teens, we decided to seek medical advice. Ultrasound examinations and blood tests were ordered and eventually laparoscopic surgery was done. When we first heard the doctor’s report of the test results, we were not quite sure what to do or how to handle what he told us. He predicted a negative outcome---that we may never
