Okay, so I'm supposed to tell you about me...Seriously, if I wrote a book about myself it would take you ten minutes to read and you would be bored stiff after the first two! LOLI'm a full-time writer, wife, and mother. Which basically means there's always a surplus of pencils lost somewhere in my hair, I usually have some place to be(I'm always late), I have a bad habit of calling family and friends random character's names (from my books), I talk to myself because no one else listens to me, and I can throw together a mean dinner for eight with only ten minutes notice and four ingredients in the pantry, LOL.If you can't find me on the sidelines of my sons' football games, online, cooking, cleaning, shopping, at the local coffee joint or on the phone wandering aimlessly throughout my house then I've probably hidden myself in my "bat-cave" to write.I have a positive attitude, and absolute fun-loving approach to life. That makes it easy for the voices in my head to take over on a regular basis providing endless hours of entertainment for my pleasure, and hopefully yours.Random facts about me:~My favorite color is pink~I have a Bishon Frise puppy named Cullen Edward~My favorite music is hip-hop~I have a severe addiction to coffee. So much so, that those in my inner circle refuse to speak to me before caffeine O'clock! True StoryEnjoy the ride.~K.B. xoxo

    I had to put the book down to go to work, but picked it up as soon as I got home, before even getting of of my work cloths. This is a book about teenagers, but unlike many teenage books there isn't alot of time at school or doing teenage things.

    This is the beginning of a truly good story to Compulsion. This is Leeny’s story and her beginning of becoming a Moon witch and her acceptance of her gift. Ms. Burks-Miller has a wonderful way of telling her story.

    I received this book in exchange for a honest review.
    I haven't read anything by K.B. Miller until this, but I will now! This book is fast paced and intriguing! I really want to know whats next for Leeny and Colleen Moon. The story is very well written leading to the next book in the series.

    This story is about Leeny who is unsure of whether or not she wants to be a Witch after witnessing her mother in action. After a turn of events, she ends up deciding which way she will go. She becomes initiated as a moon Witch after she finds out what happens to her aunt. I give this book a 5 star review.

O happy childhood! Blessed youth!

But once we know thy potent power;

Chapter One

November 20, 1947

I am finally writing in my very own grimoire. Ma gave it to me yesterday. I wanted to get started writing immediately, but I had to do things properly, which meant the first entry that I made had to be my family tree. I finished that just a wee bit ago. I hadn’t realized how powerful our family line was. Drawing it out myself, and hearing the stories were two totally different things, altogether.

One of the interesting things I found out was my ancestor, Ana Moon, was a spirit witch. I asked Ma what that meant exactly. She wouldn’t go into great detail, but she did speak about the vast powers they possessed, and how rare they were. Ana’s powers drove her mad after her fiancé was killed. It was a sad story.

I’ve been wondering what other kinds of mysteries Ma’s books hold. She has many of them, as she writes often. Last night, Colleen and I blathered on for hours about the interesting secrets our mother must have hidden in there. I certainly hope to find out ... one day.

Blessed Be ~ Leeny

I had just closed the black leather cover and rested my pen on its pristine surface when a floorboard creaked behind me. I whipped around and faced my younger sister.

Leeny, why can’t I go with you and Ma? Colleen’s wildflower blue eyes filled with tears.

Colly, you know the rules. You have to be sixteen to be initiated into the coven. I said softly, as I crossed our bedroom floor, reaching her tiny frame in just three steps. I wrapped
