Numerology for the 21st Century

BEFORE WE BEGIN:

Over 30 years ago, I was fortunate to have discovered the world of Numerology and to say my life changed would be an understatement. I began a journey that has taken me around the world enlightening, frightening, entertaining and upsetting many with its concepts. I broke all the rules and now I want to share my world and take you on a journey of discovery that’ll change your life, are you ready? The concepts and ideas that I’ll present to you are my own observations having been tried and tested over many years. You’ll be introduced to only four numbers, no fancy calculations, no adding this number to that number, no peaks or pinnacles. First things first, look around you and see for yourself how we are affected and influenced by numbers, how we depend on them and how little we understand them. Think for a moment about the ‘numbers’ in our lives: social security numbers, bank account numbers, PIN numbers, numbers on your Birth Certificate, drivers license, passport, telephone and all the other numbers you can think of – sometimes I think we are more of a number than a name! Let me outline the four numbers I’ll be introducing, your BIRTH NUMBER: ASTROLOGICAL NUMBER: NAME NUMBER and HIDDEN NUMBER.

In understanding these numbers you’ll come to understand your purpose – your journey – your destination – your life. The chapters that follow will introduce where these numbers are located, how to find them, understand and use them to your advantage. They won’t be giving you numbers for the Lottery (if I could do that you think I’d be writing this book?) or numbers that promise you everything without any effort – no pain – no gain, but they will offer you an understanding of SELF and when you come to a KNOWING of SELF no-one can take it from you. When times get tough, when life takes the inevitable twists and turns you can always return to your sense of self (and the peace it’ll bring you) just bear in mind, your SELF is your POTENTIAL not some static statement. Discover your potential and in doing so you’ll want to share it – you’ll create and attract like you’ve never done before.

In keeping things as simple as possible I’ll be giving you endless dinner party conversations for what you’re about to read has been validated over many a glass of ‘bubbly’ and continues to fascinate, frustrate and irritate those who want complication (for the sheer sake of it) don’t just take my word for it. Explore what I have to say, experiment with the techniques, play with them and above all, have fun with and in having fun with them you’ll discover another simple truth – the Devil hates laughter. I’ve often said to my friends, colleagues and students you can always tell those who are on a spiritual path by their sense of humour for if you haven’t got a sense of humour you’re not on any kind of spiritual journey. Once upon a time (and it wasn’t that long ago) when you wanted to contact the author of a book you had to write to the publisher. It then had to be forwarded to the writer (enclosing a stamped addressed envelope for a reply) trusting they would forward your request. You could wait for week’s even months, before a reply was received (if at all). Now, in the Internet Age you can send the author an email (if known) go to their website (if they have one) keeping in touch, offering updates, answering your questions is only a few keystrokes away I look forward to hearing from you. For years Numerologist’s and all those who ‘dabbled’ with numbers used the Pythagorean Alphabet asking you to look at the vowels and consonants in the hope you’ll discover the essence of the real you, the personality that makes you tick-tock. There are other alphabets and other systems all having proved their validity but it’s time to think differently (even I used the Chaldean Alphabet in all my previous books) for now, as we move into and through the 21st century there’s one alphabet that’s becoming standard, used universally and it changes everything. THE UNIVERSAL ALPHABET

When I used the Chaldean Alphabet there was no letter given the number nine and there was always a resistance from those who found the Pythagorean easier to remember even with all its peaks and pinnacles, vowels and consonants, this plane and that! People kept telling me that each letter of our 26 letter alphabet (A-Z) has a number from 1-9 beginning with A being 1, B =2 and so on. Failing to mention the Spanish Alphabet has 28 letters and the Italian Alphabet only 21! I don’t need to elaborate on the other alphabets, work it out for your self! What you’re about to read has never been revealed before so take a moment to consider what I’m proposing and you’ll understand what I mean and hopefully you’ll come to agree with me that this ALPHABET is the one and the only one we should be using for the 21st Century. Now that nearly everyone has their own mobile phone (and new purchases are being made every day) we’ll soon be texting more with our fingers than speaking with our voices! All you have to do is enter your name into your phone (your first name or, the name you’re commonly known by)

Add the numbers together until you have a single digit and read what it all means. Numerology is based upon ‘reducing’ numbers to a single digit and with every mobile (cell) phone containing the alphabet below (and no letters given to the numeral one) it’s time we took a different approach. No matter where you look, wherever there’s a keypad the Alphabet below is the one used. Join with me on a revolutionary journey, no apologies to the purists, the conventionalists, traditionalists and conformists: it’s time to change, to move with the times and create a new approach to one of the oldest art/sciences and bring it into the 21st Century. Let’s take a look at this Universal Alphabet (it’s on your phone for convenience when you don’t have this book handy) and discover a little about our SELVES from the name we use, the name we’re known by, the name that we’re called by others, our nickname, shortened name – as you can gather discovering your NAME NUMBER ain’t going to be easy (no matter which alphabet you use) and if you don’t like what your name reveals about you can change it, it’s your call. ABC =2: DEF =3: GHI =4: JKL=5: MNO =6: PQRS = 7: TUV = 8 WXYZ = 9

As you can see, there’s no letter given to the number one and when you think our calendars now begin with the number 2 there’s some logic to this (we’ve had the number 1 since the 10th century – 1100, 1200, 1300, and so on with 1999 being the last of the years beginning with 1 and all around the world it went off with a bang. Let’s use my name as an example for I’m commonly called Tom or Thomas, very seldom does someone call me Thomas Muldoon or Mr. Muldoon (it happens but not as often as Tom or Thomas) for it’s the name you’re known by that creates the energy, the aura, the magnetism around you. When I first started talking about Numerology way back in the 70’s everything was ‘vibration’ back then and everything ‘vibrates’ to it’s own frequency –today, I prefer to use the word ‘energy’ same thing different word. Keep in mind – energy is never destroyed – it only changes from one form to another – just as the essence of YOU is never destroyed…Back to contents

To me the Name Number is all about PERSONALITY you and I both know we can assume a ‘different’ personality every day, for different people, different situations and different conditions. The name you are known by is the one that ‘vibrates.’ The name you‘re known by is the one with the ‘energy.’

The name you use is the one with ‘power.’ Personality to me is all about expressing that part of your Self you feel at any given moment in time – not something fixed or immutable. You change your clothes – hairstyle, etc and express your Self differently each time. Think about it. IF YOU DON’T LIKE YOUR NAME – CHANGE IT...

Example: TOM = 8+6+6= 20 = 2 or THOMAS = 8+4+6+6+2+7= 33=6

If I was always called Tom all I would have to do is read the meanings given for 20/2 and if it didn’t ‘fit’ to read the meanings given for 33/6 and see whatever meanings made sense or ‘fitted’ me and use that name accordingly. I can hear you already, not all Tom or Thomas’s can be the same (even though they have the same numbers) yet, depending on your language, in Italian for example, Tom is Tommaso, in Spanish you’d get Tomas, in Hebrew Teom, or even Tyom in Hindi, so there! Same name but different numbers and meanings. The name you’re known by is the one that ‘vibrates’ and the more you’re in tune with its vibration the more it’s likely to influence or affect you. Keeping in mind you might think of yourself as a TOM or a THOMAS but some people might call you TOMMY!

Like it or not you’ll be influenced or affected by whoever calls you this name, even in their address book they might have you listed under TOMMY, thinking of you by this name and no other and believe it or not you’ll respond or be affected by this more than you know! Before we go into exploring the meanings of our new alphabet let’s consider the following: Adding numbers in a willy-nilly fashion doesn’t work anymore, forget the vowels and consonants (for even our grammar is changing with the advent of text messaging), forget the so-called master numbers, the peaks and pinnacles of the old Numerology...The more you ‘play around’ with numbers, adding this number to that number, comparing this peak with that pinnacle you’ll only find what you want to find.

What you’re about to learn is the ‘hidden meaning’ of the numbers contained in your First Name, Middle Name (if you have one) and Family Name. For example: your surname (family name) gives a clue to your heritage, your roots, and when you change your name, surname in particular, new ‘roots’ have to be established, look at it this way, once upon a time when a female married and took on a new name, her life became different, for better or worse, from that moment onward it was never the same. Even those who keep their own name for career purposes or who ‘double-barrel’ their name for whatever reason, seen their life to become different. I don’t need to elaborate you’ve gotten my drift, I hope. Believe me, once you know what it all means you can use this information to focus on creating a better life achieving more than you ever thought possible, you’ll create the right ‘energy/vibrations’ attracting into your life the love you crave, you’ll become more positive, motivated and confident, all by understanding the hidden meaning contained in numbers. Go back to the quote I made earlier: "As you think, so you are: As you imagine so you become." It’s time to imagine a whole new world for and those we share it with. Once you become familiar with the process, understand the concepts you’ll be able look at your partner, husband, wife, lover or friend from a new perspective. Putting your life (which is all about thinking) into sync by understanding the hidden meaning of numbers will, in a very short time, bring about the goals you seek. I cannot promise you the Lotto or Winning numbers but I can introduce you to a new way of thinking that’ll bring changes to your life you’ll feel like you’ve won the lottery. Remember your BIRTH NUMBER is deduced by knowing the day of date (1st, 10th, 19th, etc) and your BIRTH NUMBER is all about CHARACTER. Your ASTROLOGICAL NUMBER is deduced by knowing your Astrological Sign and its number.

This will give you a clue as to your DESTINY (character unfolding) and help to understand the NOW moment. Your NAME NUMBER is deduced by the simple process of adding (using your mobile phone for convenience) all the numbers in the name you’re analysing, breaking them down to double digits, reading the meanings given and then to a single digit. Your Name Number is all about your PERSONALITY. Before we go any further let’s look at my entire name, the one I use being the author of this book (save you doing it): THOMAS MULDOON = 846627 + 6853666 = 73 = 10 =1 As you can see I have the double digits of 73 and 10 to consider before I look at the number One: The meanings given to the Double Digits are currently being expanded upon and can be accessed via my website (where, along with others you too can share your insights).

There’s one more number called the HIDDEN NUMBER and what you are about to read has never been revealed in print before. I’ve workshopped it, I’ve spoken about it, I’ve challenged and confronted it and it’s proved its validity, now I want to share it with you. Your HIDDEN NUMBER is found by the addition of Birth, Astrological and Name Numbers that you were born with (simple eh!) again, using my Numbers as an example I have: Birth Number 9, Astrological number 3, Name Number 1 (always using the complete name at birth, including middle names, in my case I have no middle name) 9+3+1 = 13, 1+3=4 with FOUR being my HIDDEN NUMBER, remaining with me throughout life. Hidden Numbers can be found from where you live (the city, town, suburb) from choosing a date (or discovering that a date you’ve chosen for an important event ‘just happens’ to correspond with your Hidden Number instead of any other – in my case the Number Four represents those born on the 4th 13th 22nd and 31st along with Aquarians and believe me, over the years there has been quite a few Aquarians enter and influence by life along with those born to the number 4. Look for your hidden number and I’m pretty sure you’ll find it. From PIN numbers, telephone numbers, car registration numbers, tax file numbers, credit card numbers – now there’s an area for research - the list is endless and I mean endless. Suggestions, clues, hints and propositions regarding Hidden Numbers are given in their own chapter as well as being expanded upon in my website. Take your time to carefully read and understand the process outline here:

LET’S DISCOVER THIS MOMENT IN TIME AND SPACE:

Add your Birth Number, Astrological Number, Name Number, to your State or Territory Number, City, Suburb (don’t forget the postcode), Street (don’t forget road, avenue or drive etc), apartment block or house number, add them all and you’ll come to know a little more about where you are at this moment in time (who you are where you are and why you are where you are!). What you’re doing is ‘zoning’ in on this moment of ‘time and space.’ Like any GPS navigation equipment you’re about to discover what it means to be where you are right now – just by reducing numbers! Zoning in on this moment in time and space is quite complex (at first) but really quite simple and you know my philosophy – keep it simple – try it when you go on holiday for example.

The best way is to give an example and as always I have to use my own: Currently, (2008) the numbers linked to where I live work and play are: 9+3+1 (Birth, Astrological, Name) I add these numbers to my current address: (103 Sydney Road Manly New South Wales 2095) 4+1+9+1+5+7=. All together looking like this: 9+3+1+4+1+9+1+5+7=40=4 the HIDDEN NUMBER of where I am at this point and place in time is number FOUR! Is this telling me something or what? (Remembering this is my Hidden Number).Using the above technique you’ll come to refine/define your interpretations for you and only you live at your address (plus of course any partner or children – but you get my drift, don’t you?) there are many cities, towns, suburbs, streets and so on with the same name but when you follow the example above you are narrowing it down to you and only you (plus those with whom you share your life with).

No matter where in the world you live, the process is the same. Add all the available numbers together and you’ll come up with the HIDDEN NUMBER of this moment in time and space. Some details of what these hidden numbers indicate are given later. I’ve demonstrated this technique at various lectures and seminars and everyone experiences something differently – just by adding the numbers.

A final reminder: You have and always will have Three Numbers to consider when making any comparison with another person – Always compare a Birth Number with a Birth Number Astrological with Astrological and Name with Name Number. The Hidden Number fluctuates; will come into play and seemingly leave of its own accord when changes affect your life, don’t use it when comparing relationships. Have fun. Once you’ve understood the basic principles –you can mix and match Birth Number with Astro Number with Name Number. For the moment don’t complicate it for yourself – stick to the essentials. The reason: when you tell people of your interest in Numerology they’ll want to hear what you have to say and when you over complicate it they lose interest – keep it simple. Believe me; Numerology has taken me around the world and back again as a guest speaker and in keeping it simple I’ve enjoyed many an after- dinner conversation and so will you if you keep it simple the KISS principle (keep it simple stupid).

Can you imagine how lucky you could be if you planned the day of the week with the month of the year and your favourite numbers when entering the lottery? You could be increasing your luck and what is luck but mere focus. I’ll give you an example later – don’t rush for if it were this easy I’d be laughing all the way to the Bank or sipping a ‘Pina Colada’ on some remote beach somewhere, agree? Keep in mind ‘numbers’ are everywhere – from car registration numbers – telephone numbers – house numbers. Let me digress just for a moment. Imagine you’re driving and the car in front of you is behaving erratically or, you’re just curious about the driver! Add the numbers of the number plate, including the letters (the numbers associated with letters are on your phone) reduce everything to a single digit and along the way you’ll discover something about the car and its driver in front of you (please don’t looks at your phone whilst driving, try to keep it all in your head, which will happen when you start to apply the principles.) You can do the same thing when looking at real estate – looking for a property to rent, buy or invest. Same thing with your telephone number – add them together (including the area code) and see what kind of calls you’ll receive or not. Do the same with your mobile / cell phone – in fact look around you and apply this information wherever. Make a few notes of your days, weeks, months, colours, jewels etc and get out there and strut your stuff.

MEETING JIM AND JANE – LOOKING TO WIN THE LOTTERY

Let’s create two character’s looking to win the ‘big one.’ One called Jim and the other called Jane. Jim is a Taurean born on the 9th May. Jane is a Gemini born on the 13th June it’s this information you need to analyse for it’s here you start to predict or focus. Jim’s Name Number is Six- same as his Astrological Number (Taurus) His Birth Number Nine and when we add his Birth, Astro and Name numbers (using only his first name)) together we arrive at 9+6+6 = 21, 2+1=3. The four numbers give the Hidden Number of Three. So, how can Jim win the ‘big one’ apart from wishing and hoping well, he could use his Hidden Number and buy or fill in his lottery (for whatever day) on a Thursday – ruled by number Three. He could use Tuesday as a ‘lucky day’ being linked to his birth Number but, with his Name Number and Astrological Number being the same he would be well advised to read all there is to say about Venus – Friday – Months of the year – etc and consider this information to increase his luck or focus more effectively. I leave it to you to work out the rest for if it were a ‘dead certainty (and I’ve tried) would I need to write this tome’ at three o’clock in the morning? I think not but someone wins the lottery every week, no matter what the odds. Increase your expectation you increase your chances – it’s all in the expectation.

Let’s look at Jane, a lovely lady who never stops talking – typical of Gemini! Birth Number 13th = 4 Astrological Number (Gemini) = 5. Name Number (using only Jane) = 7 adding them all together we arrive at her Hidden Number = 7. As you can see her Hidden Number is the same as her name number (Jane). Let suppose she wants to use all this info to win the ’big one’ (same as Jim). We know that Wednesday is the bet day for Gemini and Sunday is the day for Jane’s Birth Number yet; her focus should be on a Monday where we have the Name and Hidden Number in sync. The best month of the year would be Pisces (7 with Neptune the ruler) but she could also use Feb (Aquarius) or June (Gemini) using Monday’s as the day she picks her numbers (better still if the date happened to be ‘linked’ to any of her numbers (4th, 5th, 16th etc) work it out for yourself and you’ll come up with your own conclusions, it’ll take time but you’ll have a lot of fun and you’ll learn a great deal.

When you check out your Character Profiles you’ll also discover the time of day where your ‘energy’ can be focussed – keep in mind the actual date of the lottery draw is not what you’re calculating. What you’ll be experiencing is focussing your thoughts – energy – power on the magic of expectation for it’s in the expectation that you increase your chances. Jim or Jane could wear the colours of the day, month, etc, wear the jewels and metals associated with their sign, visit their local lottery office, take a trip to the race track (for the same principles apply) or camp it up at the Casino, all in the expectation that something is going to happen – and it usually does. Syndicates have names, horses have names, greyhounds have names; the list is endless. Cars have names; airlines have names, places, cities, towns, even some houses are named instead of numbered (countries are astrologically ‘ruled’) people have names. Take a moment to think this through for when we look at the compatibilities of numbers you’ll soon find out which number is compatible (or not) with another number! You only have four numbers to work with and when you start to compare one number with another you’ll be comparing a Birth Number with a Birth Number. An Astrological Number with an Astrological Number and a Name Number with a Name Number and once you understand the principle of the Hidden Number a Hidden Number with a Hidden Number. You should not mix and match Birth with Astro or Name etc, until you become a little more expert and understand the procedures, system and process. Back to contents

Like an artist I’m giving you the colours – it is up to you to paint the picture, using your own words, expressions and life experience. Keep it simple and you’ll go a long way, try to be too smart or appear like you ‘know it al’ you’ll fail when you most want to impress. Before we look at your Birth Number I want to introduce another unique idea for your consideration.

PAST LIVES - FACT OR FICTION

Before I begin this section and move onto other concepts that is your life, the one you chose and in having chosen it it’s up to you to LIVE it for as we’ll discover later, you’ve always existed, always have, always will and your next life (consciousness) is already there, awaiting your attention therefore if a part of you dies, if a part of you transforms or changes in any way it’s only because you’ve outgrown it (just like a caterpillar becoming the butterfly or, a snake shedding its skin). Remember what I said earlier about energy never being destroyed – it only changes – and we see this in Mother Nature all the time, just look at the seasons. You’re ‘past’ life, your ‘future’ life and any ‘alternate lives’ you want to create are all there ‘awaiting’ your awareness, ‘awaiting’ your attention. Alternate lives are an interesting concept for it’s created in the imagination (but also on the Internet where people go to live out a fantasy on line – creating a persona). Being the ‘rebel’ I am this will be an area for research that I’ll be developing for I’ve already experienced a taste of an ‘alternate life’.
