      Prologue

      After the funeral, Uncle Zack had all of Daddy’s belongings sent to the mansion. Cam and I were told to go through them and see if there was anything we wanted to keep to remember him by.

      As I looked through the journals of Daddy’s I found, a stack of letters fell out. They were all addressed to my Mommy, Jennifer. I began reading them, losing myself in my Daddy’s words.

      Jennifer,

      I loved you from the first time I set eyes on you. I knew we would be together forever. You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever met and regret that I ever have to spend a day without you.

      When you gave birth to Ruthie, I thought I was the luckiest man in the world. No man could be happier than I was at that moment.

      Why didn’t Daddy mention Cam? Wasn’t he born at the same time? I continued reading the letters, hoping to find out once and for all what our family’s secret was.
