About this ebook
My Father’s Wish:
There is a misunderstanding between Bronze’s wife and her father in-law over a yet to be known issue...
Two friends had been separated for some years for the purpose of studies. One of them knows something about the other but does not believe that it could be true.
However, can it be possible that a man and his wife are potent as proven by numerous medical doctors, yet they are unable to have children? Can it be possible that Darcy doesn’t know that he is unable to impregnate a woman?
On the other hand, should we conclude that his colleagues don’t want to tell him the truth? Nevertheless, why are they keeping it away from him?
Ivo has made up his mind to tell Darcy why he is unable to have a child.
The rendezvous is in 72 hours...
My Joy My Pain:
Will is caught in an entangled love web. He always falls in love with the wrong woman. He is stranded in love. His love experiences with Tracy, Dolly, Kate and Nelly almost turn him into a misogynist. He wonders why what seemed like joy to him always turned out to be pain. He is desperate to find the true love that always seems to elude him.
Will he ever find true love?
Will it ever happen?
With the help of his friend Dave, he picked up the shattered pieces of his heart and moved on. He was on the verge of giving up on love and marriage when what first appeared to be a painful experience, strangely turned out to be the golden joy he has been searching for. Jane, the lady who he accidentally knocks down with his bike turns out to be his soul mate.
Yes, everybody failed to see that there was light at end of the tunnel!

CHAPTER 1
It hurts to hear such words from you, old man
! She said in a murderous tone while standing at the door into the main living room. Charlotte Bronze was a beautiful woman with a dark skin colour, and no taller than 1.73 meters. She got married to Darcy Bronze a dozen years previously, but despite spending several years trying, they are still without a child.
I’m sorry I told you that, but I couldn’t do otherwise
, the 62 year old man said calmly.
Mac Nelly Bronze was a retired army captain. He had three children, but two kicked the bucket in the previous year.
Darcy Bronze was a medical doctor and worked with the Kumba (a town with a population of about half a million) district hospital as a specialist surgeon. He worked very hard in his four years of service. At 2:30 pm one afternoon, he left the hospital to see an old school mate of his.
I have two children with appendicitis and I need the service of a specialist surgeon
, Ivo Atabong said as he stood up to give his friend Darcy a handshake.
And I have over seven million US dollars in a foreign account and I will like to transfer this sum into the country. I am in desperate need of an experienced financier to help me invest some of my money
Darcy replied with a bright smile. Both men had been friends in primary school, and later on in high school. They then went on to different universities.
They talked about recent casualties, which had occurred in the country and in Kumba in particular. Increasing prices and a recession sweeping across the country led to a strike, during which the office of the governor was burnt to the ground.
If my father were young and still in service, that would never have happened,
Darcy said angrily. Darcy was a very tall man. He was 1.92 meters to be exact.
If I am not mistaken, then I think that what I know about you is true…,
said Ivo. Darcy was anxious to hear what Ivo had to say but he was too busy at the time. He had an operation to perform in the hospital. Both men agreed to meet 72 hours later at the Vianello hotel, precisely at 9:30 am in the morning.
I have to be really sure about it,
Ivo continued. Ivo was the son of the previous chief of the city of Kumba. Chief DR. HON. Atabong Nkemzi Joseph was the oldest man in the southwest region of the country. He was at least 106 years old. He knew Darcy from birth.
Do you have a family
? Darcy asked Ivo suspiciously, when they met up at Ivo’s house. Darcy was very eager to know what Ivo had to tell him. However, Ivo kept insisting that he would only tell him whatever he had to say when they met up at the Vianello hotel.
Yes I do
Ivo replied happily. Darcy’s mood changed when he heard that. Ivo had three children. He had two daughters and a son, who resembled his grandfather a lot. Darcy on the other hand, had been married for several years and had no kids. He and his wife had been trying for a baby for quite a while but his wife had failed to conceive.
If not of that old man I would not have married her
, he said to himself. He could not withstand the shame of not having a child, whether legitimate or illegitimate. Darcy decided that it was time to return home.
Mr Surgeon,
Ivo said, referring to his good friend Darcy. I have nothing to say at the moment other than to thank you for taking the time to visit me. Say hi to captain for me,
Ivo said, referring to Darcy’s dad, the retired army captain. Tell him that I owe him a yet to be scheduled visit, and don’t forget that we have something serious to talk about when we meet at the hotel
Ivo said with some sadness. He felt very sorry for his friend.
Charlotte Bronze and her father in law were very worried. They were at a loss. There was a lot of tension in the Bronze household. They contemplated whether Darcy had been made aware of his present condition.
How do I face him when he gets home father?
Charlotte asked anxiously.
CHAPTER 2
Darcy was going to find out what his friend Ivo had to tell him in 48 hours. He couldn’t wait. He couldn’t stop thinking about what Ivo had been hiding from him. Charlotte considered him a kind hearted and lovely man who would never keep any secrets.
Maybe he is guilty and that’s why he hasn’t been himself since he came back from the hospital yesterday…?
She thought to herself, as she stared intently at the ceiling. She asked herself several questions but had no answers to them. She was at a loss.
Ivo was very confused! He kept wondering if what he had found out about his friend Darcy was true or not.
I could be mistaken,
he murmured to himself as he turned to look at
