About this ebook

Branson Noble, daughter of a police detective, is a Greenville, SC girl. Her freshman year at Grammling High School starts out well as she continues her playing soccer, gets to know her teachers, including Mr. Hadad, her favorite, who is also her neighbor, and enjoys time with life-long friends. But the year takes a turn for the worse when a soccer injury isolates her at home. One sleepless night prowlers are seen on the Hadad’s property, Branson fears for her neighbor’s safety. She and her father warn them and sense they have a past that could be dangerous to them. After Christmas holidays, Mr. Hadad’s personality changed. The students decide they might find answers in his day book, which they set about to ‘borrow’ for a couple of hours. They find it filled with foreign writings and measurements and a couple of dates that match some school bombings. This 15-year-old sleuth from South Carolina, following in her father and grandfather’s footsteps, finds an overlap between her father’s case involving the death of three plastic surgeons along the east coast and the Hadads. She and her friends are determined to find out the truth about her neighbors even after they threaten her life and send her a bomb. She finds that good intentions can endanger her own life and the lives of those she loves.
