Introduction
The apostle Peter is perhaps the most famous of the apostles and an exploration into his life often provides lessons that many of us can learn from. Despite Peter's weaknesses, Jesus saw something special in him and recognized his potential for greatness in servitude to God. In this book, we will venture along with Peter from fisherman to martyr.
As we join Peter on his journey, we will explore some of the major events in his life and take a look at his walk with Jesus. And while we get to know him and understand his personality, we will contemplate the reasons for his fall in the midst of his attempt at bravery. Then we will watch as Jesus restores him in love and Peter goes on to become the most crucial apostle in the early development of the Christian church. After this, we will finally touch on his death in Rome under Emperor Nero after over three decades of following Jesus.
Though this book will help the reader learn more about Peter, it will also provide thoughtful insights for the heart and mind to ponder. I hold a special admiration for Peter because of his extreme dedication and loyalty to his master.
