The Heart of the Matter-Restoring our Standard with the Seed's Seed
()
About this ebook
God sets prophets among us in every age. Our challenge is to hear and discern them. The prophet's challenge is to be obedient to God's call and assignment in a society which clings to the familiar and the traditional. Who are we as a species? In an age of information what cold, hard facts may be revealed by giving today's seed (the new heart) a voice? What is our standard? What is our seed?
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed way; behold, all things become new." II Corinthians 5:17. This is a genetic shift or an upgrade in our species which is 'good news'. The 'new heart' as promised is not just a generic term of group like-think, but a miraculous endowment of power and renewal. This writer has experienced this phenomenal change.
Marian Miller
About the Author Marian Louise Lofton, Haske - Miller was born on a farm in Red Willow County, Nebraska into a family of musicians in 1922. She graduated from Marion High School though she finished her courses at North High in Omaha. She was working in Omaha when Pearl Harbor rattled the nation; just in time to be called into service in World War II. She reported to the Provost Marshal General’s Office in Washington, D. C. in March of 1942 just a week or two before the famous ‘Palm Sunday snow’. When released from that commitment Marian graduated from National Art School in that city and became a fashion artist for the local newspapers. She married Frank J. Haske III in 1949. After the birth of their second child she retired and settled for the challenge of motherhood in Rockville, Maryland. They had four children. She returned to her first love at a new mission church in the neighborhood who needed an organist. Marian was widowed in 1968. She later married Leopold Miller, a completed Jew and they became a blended family with seven children. When free to do so she enrolled in the Famous Writers Course of Westport, Conn. in Journalism and graduated in her time. The Millers received their Leadership Training in Counseling at Halpine Baptist Church in Rockville where she ministered one on one and continued at the Piano when the Charismatic renewal was in full swing. Marian introduced a joyful, charismatic image of Jesus at the Washington for Jesus march in 1980 and has continued in that vein as an artist. The Millers assisted the Life in Jesus Ministry of healing for eight years before moving to West Virginia. There she joined and was encouraged by the Women’s Aglow always at the keyboard. In 1990 the moved to Colorado where Lee joined Marian as worship leader in Salida. There they became active in the FGBFI and ministered at the Buena Vista Correctional facility for seven years. Lee’s health has guided the need to be near a veteran’s facility, so following health care has led to many moves. Lee ministers at the local jail and serves as an elder in their church in Grand Junction, Colorado. Marian continues at the keyboard. She also has a small home group ministry. Marian has written and published the history of her family CHILDRENS CHILDREN based on her great grandfather’s pioneer letters and written and illustrated books for her grandchildren. She is listed in Marquis Who’s Who in the West.

THE HEART OF THE MATTER
Restoring our Standard with the Seed’s Seed
Without a vision my people perish. (Proverbs 29:18)
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. (John 10:27-29)
You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, and in thy seed shall all the kindred of the earth be blessed. (Acts 3:25)
Memorandum to all Prophets - Lifting Up a Standard
The Seed’s Seed
Isaiah 59:19-21 tells us: When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him...My spirit is upon thee, and my word which I have put in the mouth, shall not depart out of the mouth nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, from henceforth and forever.
What is our standard? What is our seed?
Humankind is classified under the Genus Homo sapiens. Though we all appear to have common attributes, six thousand years of carnage and controversy has proven that we are two different species, one of whom is about to self-destruct. Even four hundred years in the melting pot has stirred into quarrelsome stew.
Christians are the elect seed’s seed which departed from the mouth of Isaiah by virtue of having ears to hear
and access to the Bible. In this age of information shouldn’t we expect some new insight into the human dilemma, or are we so blinded by the veil of ceremony and tradition that our ears are plugged up?
The church has lost sight of its seed. Not only has the world crept into the sanctuary, performance and religiosity seeks its own comfort zone. Now the cry is ‘interfaith inclusion’. A seed is something specifically preordained by God for increase! God is love. Love is his fruit and our gift is the tongue to tell of it, to live it in obedience and spread it as marmalade on the bread of humanity.
Our seed was consummated in Mary to give birth to God’s own begotten son, Jesus Christ who gave himself for us at the cross. This writer perceives the human dilemma is not racial, political, or ethical; but BIOLOGICAL. We are totally at God’s mercy! In his book, THE PHENOMENON OF MAN, Teilhard de Chardin declared a hundred years ago that: Biological synthesis and religion are one and the same manifestation of the human phenomenon." (THE PHENOMENON OF MAN, 2nd ed., Harper & Row, New York, 1965, page 287).
Chardin was a Jesuit Priest born in France who taught in the United States. He traveled extensively because of his interest in Paleontology, and was defrocked for his "aberrant thoughts, or forth-thinking (prophesy). God maintains our standard in the prophetic realm by covenant as confirmed by Jesus. (John 1:14) The covenant is God’s calling card; the
voice that encircled the earth when the heavens declared it." (Psalm 19)
We are known as the only creature who uses the tongue to communicate, so words are our only barter. God gave us His Word, wrote the Bible and chose the characters. He set the family Adam in a paradise but they disobeyed as did their followers. He covenanted with Noah to cleanse the world and start over. Then he calls on Abram of Ur to relocate, and covenants with him changing his name. He fathers two sons, Ishmael and Isaac. The latter is the favored son by Sarah’s miraculous delivery at ninety years of age. Isaac’s daughter, Rebekah, had twins, Joseph and Esau. she learns: two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people
. (Genesis 25:23) Their struggle reveals our insanity.
We are a slow learning, ‘growing younger longer’ species, but that is a double edged sword which keeps the world in turmoil. What are we taught: a God of love gives us direction and a vision for survival. One of these seed is filling heaven triumphing over death; the other is the clone of violence and death.
Isaiah prophesied that his God would send a Messiah. (Isaiah 4:14) In time the Holy Spirit hovers over Judea sending Gabriel, an angel, to Zecharias, Elizabeth and Mary, a virgin and descendant of David. All are given messages and all are filled with the Holy Spirit; John in his mother’s womb. The stage is set for the ministry of John the Baptist and Jesus.
Jesus is born under a guiding star drawing attention to a sovereign God. The Father covenanted with his son who bore perfect fruit. (Mark 1:11) He lifted the Word of life to a personal level by demonstration. The Good News replaced the message of sin to one of grace by the power of the Holy Spirit. "For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." (John 1:17)
Jesus’ overwhelming presence created a violent response to tradition and authority because of his popularity. As prophesied he had to be annihilated. (Psalm 22) Hearts were pierced at the cross with bloody ‘new’ wine of the Holy Spirit. The final sacrifice rose to multiply exponentially with his resurrection.
Hope was restored with a new message. "You must be born again." The Greek (gennethe anothen) means begotten from above. "...verily, verily, I say unto thee except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kindgom of God." Now he is calling out for those with ears to hear; the elect.
(John 3:5 and I John 5:5-8)
Jesus was talking to Nicodemus, a Pharisee, so he was being introduced to something new. Jesus opens the door to the baptism in the Holy Spirit which is a rite of passage
a marvelous awakening, loosing us from mediocrity to maturity; God’s new edition. (Luke 3:16)
Through Jesus the seed did exploits. The printing press made the Bible available to multitudes. It was loosed over continents and oceans; by radio and telecommunication. My seed migrated from England with a small band of ‘covenant’ Christians on the Mayflower. I am a descendant with a message for all those who follow. Take up the cross for the standard! We owe it to our ancestors.
Music drew me into Christianity. My position at the Baldwin grand gave me witness to a variety of manifestations giving credence to my own. There is no limit to what or how God can lay on the heart of the pilgrim. It appears to this writer that the NEW heart, the BAPTISM in the Spirit and COVENANT are all the same phenomenon placing Christ in me the hope of glory,
(Colossians 1:27) a remarkable transformation by the Holy Spirit.
This noteworthy change is what Chardin called a biological synthesis,
and what I have personally experienced. Like Paul, my trip was ‘sudden’, shocking and out of body. It separates us out, sometimes from our own family causing us to seek out a group of like mind and purpose; Christ’s church. The orgasmic NEW HEART triggers the autonomic nervous system into shock and regeneration. (Ezekiel 36:26, II Corinthians 4:6-7 and Hebrews 10:16).
God is love, (I John 4:16) but he has an enemy who mimics him and his gifts. Satan plants darkness and evil in the heart of man. He is the father of lies. (John 8:44) He follows Hagar’s issue, Ishmael. God said he would be a "wild man" at war with all his brethren. (Genesis 16:12) They worship death and have no future because of the oppression of their mothers and daughters.
The female is the prototype in all species. So God’s seed of change will always be guaranteed by the female. It is well known that the true Jew if born of a Jewish mother; Eve, Sarah and Mary. We are a new charismatic species in the Genus Homo sapiens, initiated and accomplished by the bold application of Jesus’ word.
Teilhard de Chardin, also said: the differentiation of nervous tissue provides direction and therefore proves that evolution has direction
pp. 143-146. I have found a contemporary professional in my research that confirms Chardin’s words. Han Selye isolated The General Adaptation Syndrome
(GAS) in his book THE STRESS OF LIFE. It functions in response to shock, injury or the Baptism in the Spirit. (McGraw-Hill Book Co. Inc., New York, N.Y., 1956)
I write of two professionals, one spiritual (Chardin) and a contemporary from the field of medical science (Hans Selye). They both write of a phenomenon which changes the heart of man, and his countenance, but confirmed only by his behavior. I am the testimony; their evidence. The Lord has prepared someone for this revelation. Are you that one? In the mouth of two or three witnesses is the truth established. (Matthew 18:16)

Introduction
God sets prophets among us in every age. Our challenge is to hear and discern them. The prophet’s challenge is to be obedient to God’s call and assignment in a society which clings to the familiar and the traditional. The intellectual pursuits that feed journalism, the institutes of higher learning and the media itself keeps the human image in crisis.
Who are we as a species? In an age of information what cold, hard facts might be revealed by giving today’s seed (the new heart) a voice? What might that tongue reveal? We are also known as the only creature who uses the tongue to communicate, so words are our only barter in a world of turmoil. What is our standard? What is our seed?
We are classified under the Genus Homo sapiens. Though we all appear to have common attributes, six thousand years of carnage and controversy has proven that we are two different species, one of whom is about to self-destruct. Even four hundred years in the melting pot has stirred into quarrelsome stew. What is our hope? Isaiah 59:19-21 tells us:
When the enemy shall come in like a flood the spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard Against him…My spirit that is upon thee, and my word which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, from henceforth and for ever.
KJV
I followed the seed and learned that only certain Semites carried God’s seed, not all of them. The house of Judah produced David whose line produced Mary. Her son, Jesus, was the looked for Messiah, the son of God. Christians, as followers of Christ carry the precious seed. If they have been baptized in the Holy Spirit they will voice it through the gifts of the spirit. They will preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and do exploits because it was prophesied.
"A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you:
And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you an heart of flesh and I will put
