Chapter 1 – A Simple Premise
Through powerful, repeated visualizations any person can change their life dramatically!
The big problem with achieving success through visualizing is in consistently repeating it.
It is time consuming.
It is very difficult, if not impossible, to keep the visualization precisely consistent, to keep your mind from 'playing games' with it.
Visualizations do not work if the mind is allowed to consistently make changes, introduce doubts, thoughts of self worth, etc.
The way to overcome this is to create a visualization one time and repeat it daily in a manner that the mind has no chance to 'play with it'.
This repetition can be done daily in less time than it takes you to scratch an itch.
In fact it is instantaneous!
There is no confusion from the mind making modifications! There is no time for the mind to introduce negative thoughts!
You repeat this visualization regularly until you realize your desire or goal. Obviously the time required depends on the goal. There are many people who are very good at this!
Not convinced?
Consider the role of visualization in life.
Each human being on this planet creates their reality on an instant by instant basis.
This occurs through the natural and necessary process of visualization.
Life is visualization!
We are constantly projecting our life ahead of us through our thoughts. As a result, we create a very large percentage of our waking reality ‘on the fly’ or without conscious awareness that we are doing it.
Instant by instant, hour by hour, day by day we are projecting our future realities.
It may only be a split second before we perceive the reality. However, we are creating that reality by projecting our thoughts forward in what we perceive as time.
This is the essence of life! This is what makes life fantastic to those who understand and actively use this natural ability to create the life that they desire.
Unfortunately we spend much of our lives in a passive mode. We allow our lives to become a procession of ‘replays’ of past scenarios stored in our minds.
Most of life is made up of the unconscious portion of our mind projecting visualizations of past scenarios of events or states of being that repeat themselves in our lives! The only modifications being those necessary to ‘fit’ the environment that we are currently experiencing or the ‘set’ or ‘stage’ that we are currently performing on.
In fact, we should be very grateful that the vast majority of our unconscious visualizations are positive and beneficial to our everyday lives.
Every body movement that we do without conscious focus is a micro-visualization of an action that we learned by trial and error. Most of this was done in infancy.
Take walking for example. As an infant we have to go through many trials and errors to ‘learn’ all of the physical necessities to perform the act of walking. Once the proper ‘scenarios’ for successful walking are stored in our mind, walking becomes basically an unconscious function.
Instead of having to consciously think through each movement necessary to walk our body across a room, we trigger the entire process by the simple thought of crossing the room. The thought of ‘crossing the room‘ unconsciously triggers the process that we will use, in this case walking.
What we are doing is creating our immediate reality by ‘projecting’ our desire to be on the other side of the room. Seldom do we have a conscious thought of the walking process. We project the desire and if all goes well, we have created our reality. We have put a new scenario into our production of life.
If we stumble, or slip and fall we have not projected the proper desire. We cannot walk on ice or a slippery surface without replaying scenarios of cautious walking.
Consider the chaos in our lives of having to ‘relearn’ how to walk each morning before we continued our day. Add to this every other physical function that we perform as a part of physical living and there would be no chaos, because there would be no human life!
A few minutes ago, right after I finished writing the previous paragraph, I looked at my empty coffee cup.
I am now sitting at my desk with a full cup.
I was seated at my computer again before I realized that the empty cup triggered my journey from the computer room through the living room, dining room to the kitchen where I filled my cup and took the same route to return to the computer room.
During the whole time that I did this, I was focused on what I wanted to write next!
I only vaguely remember the journey. I projected a fresh cup of coffee on my desk and manifested it with very little conscious attention. All of this ‘triggered’ by the sight of the empty cup!
The theme of this book is creating the life that you desire through ‘projected’ visualizations.
You might say, ‘I have tried visualization and it doesn’t work for me!’
I say ‘You wouldn’t be physically alive if visualization didn’t work for you!’
Life is a continuous visualization! Each and every instant of life we are projecting forward, through our thoughts and desires, the reality that we experience!
If our projection is bleak, our experience will be bleak!
If our projection is joyful, our experience will be joyful!
We can only live an exciting life if we take conscious control of our ‘projections’ and believe in the process.
Believing in the process is the easiest part! We do it every instant of our lives! We only need to observe, at any instant, how we ‘trigger’ our future actions with simple thoughts.
No one needs to learn to visualize! Living is visualizing!
Do we manifest our lives? You bet we do! Instant by instant!
How do we manifest our lives? Through visualization!
Do we recognize this visualization process? Very, very seldom! It happens even faster that the speed of light.
Again! If we had to think through even the simplest of body actions before performing them, life would be chaos.
We must recognize that every instant of our lives we are creating our own realities with our thoughts.
These thoughts can create material objects, events or states of being. We may be receiving these things based on previous thoughts or immediate thought triggers. One thing is certain, we are constantly ‘seeding’ the future with thoughts that express our desires. This process goes on constantly either consciously or unconsciously. This is life on Planet Earth.
Be aware that this works both positively and negatively!
Who you are, what you are, what you have, where you live, all of your states of being, health, wealth, etc., are the results of your thoughts.
There is one little ‘trick’ that most teachers of creative manifestation either miss or do not emphasize enough. This can be a fun, fun way to live!
By looking at how movies are made, we can create specific and consistent visualizations of our desires. More importantly, these visualizations can be repeated over and over almost instantaneously without meditation, memory modification or forgetfulness.
This is not a solemn process. This is not transcendental meditation, mantra chanting or achieving mystical states of altered perception.
In fact, like a child at play, the more fun it is the better it works and the longer it lasts!
We have attracted into our lives our NOW! And our NOW is our only reality!
NOW then is the time that we must say to ourselves ‘Hey, let’s have some fun! How about creating a whole new
