About this ebook

We all walk and live somewhere between the light and the storm. I hope that these unique guided imagery meditations will take you on joyful journeys. They are filled with warmth and a touch of playful humor. Two introductory meditations are followed by four possible endings. This allows you the freedom to create the meditation experience that will be the most helpful for you at this moment in time.
Come take that first sip of morning coffee with me. Let's go for a peaceful morning garden walk. We'll experience the bright hot white light and the cool black shade of the midday sun. We will watch the landscape change as the sun sets and the first stars begin to appear. Once again feel the warmth of gentle rain on your face. Feel the power of the pouring rain as we observe it secure in the warmth of candlelight. We will wrap up in our quilts or blankets as we watch, hear, smell, and feel the energy of the storm as lightning arcs across the sky.
Each meditation is followed by three affirmations. I hope that these affirmations will assist in focusing your awareness and enhance the heart of that guided imagery meditation.
I love to put compassion and positive intentions into all of my art and written work. I am a Reiki Master. I accompany this healing practice with the use of Tibetan singing bowls and Tibetan style chant.

Marcia Borell

Marcia A. Borell is a dreamer that likes to give her dreams tangible form. She has published poetry, essays, short stories, and drabbles. Marcia has always lived close to an inland lake. Observing the sky, water, land, and seasons has always influenced her writing. Marcia has never met an art form she didn't like. She has created cartoons, cover and interior illustrations for mystery, sci-fi, children's, and fantasy magazines. She loves to work in clay, fibers, ink, paint, and pencil. Marcia has spent her life perusing garage sales and thrift stores for odd bits and pieces that are repurposed to create unusual art. She loves to put compassion and positive intentions into all of her art and written work. Marcia is a Reiki Master and accompanies that healing practice with the use of Tibetan singing bowls and Tibetan style chant. More meditations, drabbles, how to art books, and children's books to come. Currently they are living in stacks of notepaper, drawing paper, and journals.

    Creating Your Space

My dear reader, please begin by finding a quiet comfortable spot. Your comfort is paramount for this time of relaxation and meditation. You may choose to read or listen to these meditations sitting up or lying down. If you choose to lie on your back you may want to use pillows under your head and knees. This is especially important for you if you suffer from back issues. Lying on your back will allow your shoulders to come out of what I like to call my computer hunch. I tend to draw, write, and use my computer with my shoulders and upper back hunched forward. This is not a good position for relaxed breathing. Resting on my back, allows my back to get adequate support. Using this position with pillows helps me to attain a more natural belly breathing, which frees my lungs to function more fully and easily.

If a position on your side is more comfortable please use a pillow to support your head and another between your knees. This will help to keep your body in alignment and put less stress on your hips and back. If you have serious back issues please follow the advice of your doctor, chiropractor, or physical therapist.

As you become more and more relaxed your heart rate may slow. This may reduce your blood pressure and lower your body temperature so that you may feel cold. Please keep a blanket or a quilt handy to be used
