About this ebook

Have you noticed that many times in life we cross over into territory that we do not enjoy and in fact really do not want to walk through at all?
This book contains truths to help when you are going through trials. I have taught these principles for many years in pulpits and applied the truths to multiple situations. But in each situation we face there is a special emphasis that the Lord has for our own life--something He wants us to learn. Honestly I wish I did not have to face bad situations, but in the end I do see some of what the Lord is doing and rejoice in that. I have learned that God's Word holds the key to finding victory in the midst of trials and difficulties of life.

In this book, you will find 2 major truths that will help you walk through the trials that come in your life. I have found these truths to be more than sufficient for the difficult issues of life. These truths also have been tested and tried by numbers of Christians that have applied them in their lives, only to find that God's Word is up to date and very powerful to meet the needs of our lives. Walk with me through the Scriptures as we learn how to face our T.R.I.A.L. and go through it with P.R.A.I.S.E.

    Introduction

It was not the news I wanted to hear. The consultant on the other end was telling me that my daughter’s final appeal for a Residence Permit allowing her to stay in the country of Botswana with us had been denied. No further appeals allowed, and she had only 60 days left before she had to be out of the country.

We had been working through the red tape to get my daughter approval to stay with us here and help with the ministry. As an adult of twenty-five years when we started the process, the government thought it strange someone of that age should be living with their family and so they continued to deny her requests.

The truth is we had been told this would be the outcome several months before the final answer now was given. And I thought I was ready to hear the verdict—but truthfully it was not what I wanted to hear.

Have you noticed that many times in life we cross over into territory that we do not enjoy and in fact really do not want to walk through at all?

Now it just so happened that at the time of the call about my daughter I was working my way through this manuscript and preparing this for publication.

I have taught these principles for many years in pulpits and applied the truths to multiple situations. But in each situation there is a special emphasis that the Lord has for our own lives. Now He was working on me again.

Honestly I wish I did not have to face that situation, but in the end I do see some of what the Lord is doing and rejoice in that. Without the truths in the following pages, I would have been devastated and quite upset. But God’s Word holds the key to finding victory in the midst of trials and difficulties of life.

Could I share one truth that has come out of this situation for me? It has been shared with many Christians around the world now and I have heard back from several of them as to how it has helped. Hopefully it will help you as well.

It is simply this: Know the difference between disappointment and discouragement.

Disappointment is simply an appointment that you
