About this ebook

A collection of thematically related short stories which boldly and critically depicts life in the Bulgaria of some thirty years ago.
Hubenov’s erstwhile detective, Doctor Hike Strelkov , combines keen deductive reasoning with bold forensic strategies as a consultant to Bulgarian police departments. The authorities in his home town of Plovdiv, particularly impressed with his methods, decide to make him a full-time consultant. As his reputation grows, police departments from around the country also come to depend on him.
In the title story from the collection, Strelkov is asked to investigate a grisly crime committed after hours near a bar in the bustling Black Sea port and premium seaside resort of Varna.
