      The fourteen-year-old princess, Alexandra, thinks she's just a regular girl with a dog named Butch that plays with a squirrel named Pops. After she and her best friend, Sarah, spend the evening baby sitting they find a strange new world just a rock and some glitter away.They are magically transported to a world where they hear and understand Butch and Pops talk or should I say argue. Alex is told she has an Uncle Dread and that her mother is the vanquished Queen of this parallel world.The four travel to find a man named Larok that can help them find their way home, but first meet up with Jinx, the hamster. The sense of dread, no pun intended, was strong for the five journeying to Rock Kingdom. They dodge stinky skeletons called Braks in the Tunnel of Darkness in their search for freedom.You'll read to the end of the chapter having to turn the page again and again. This book is suited for either boys or girls that like action, twists, and turns in a journey to find truth.

      It is fun to escape reality from time to time. In The Rock of Realm you will travel with Alex, Sarah, Butch, Pops and Jinx into a world where danger is in abundance and friendship and courage are a must! Secret worlds will be revealed and good and evil will collide. The characters are real, interesting and at times, funny. Fans of fantasy will love every word of this book told by a gifted storyteller. I rate it 3.5 stars.
