The first time I saw Ronnie he was alone and looked forlorn. My name is Al. I like to think I'm a nice guy. People who know me say I'm a sucker for a sad story or woebegone looks. I won't deny it. That's why I decided to be a friend to Ronnie and cheer him up. Therein lies the tale.

He began his career as a newspaper and broadcast journalist in news and sports. After a career in corporate communications, Russ has turned to writing fiction, specializing in short stories. Genres include westerns, sports, historical, romance, and character delineation stories.
