I am a freelance writer born and based in the UK. I have written books on a variety of subjects which interest me. I like books that are short and to the point and therefore write my books based on this principle so that you do not get bogged down with page filling and pointless waffle, but get the information that you need, quickly and easily. I hope that you agree that this means readers can manage their time better and move on to actually applying the principles in the books.

Stress Management Workbook - Rachel Henderson

    Introduction

The aim of this booklet is to help you to identify the things in your life which cause you stress and then help you to eliminate the stress that they are causing you. This is done by carrying out a series of exercises which are clearly explained in this book and everything is included to allow you to carry them out fully.

This response is built into each one of us and works like a knee jerk reflex, in the sense that it just happens unconsciously, and you have no control over it. The body senses stress and so reacts. It goes into what is called a flight or fight response. This prepares the body for either fighting or running away. This is a very useful response when being chased by a lion or about to be run over by a bus as you need to have the energy in your legs to run and your arms to fight. The body therefore produces enough adrenalin and nor-adrenalin for you to be able to do this and the running or fighting uses it up.

However, if your stressor is a customer at the end of a telephone shouting at you then you cannot even stand up from your desk very easily let alone run away or fight. This
